I guess I will keep everyone updated on MY experiences with these once I get them installed. The only thing I wonder now is which one is the rear mount?

the rear is the one is the one with the flat tab with holes in it. the front has the two bolts sticking out of it. good luck with the back one. i have yet to try to get at it. i bought an air ratchet i think this might help me get in there, b/c there isnt much room to move around. Without it im sure i will end up with some bloody nuckles.

You have to remember..his car is torn apart...and he doesnt have a block heh

Yeah, I will finish pulling my engine out now that I just finished fixing my dad's car about 20 minutes ago. Got rid of that pesky oil leak on the 88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe. Now that his car is outta the way, I can manuver the engine hoist around the car.(thumb)

(Sorry, off-topic, but had to say somthing)
An 88 Turbo Coupe? I loved those cars! We used to have one and ran the hell out of it! Lots of fun to drive. You get around in it much? Pretty good power for an 88, I thought.

Yeah, the front mount looks like this:

(sorry for using periods...I had to since when I post it it gets rid of the spaces I had there)

Damn, that kind of looks like a person. Hehe. Man, if ANYONE is running a turbo mp3 on stock motor mounts, CHANGE THEM NOW. At least the front one. My car rattles more now, so I'm not too sure about doing the back one...let me know how it goes, linux.

they really make the car idle really rough at any rpm's under 1000. after that everything they feel great.

Yeah me too! This was the car I learned how to drive in when I was 15. All you saw was --->:D This s*** eating grin!

So, the motor mounts will help to eliminate the vibration from the rough idle?

After reading it I'm not sure if the turbo causes it and the motor mounts eliminate it, or if they cause some of the vibration. I assume they help, as I have a "rough" idle with the turbo now and I haven't done anything with the mounts.

If they help, how much are they and where do I get them?

beavis....Because the motor mounts are stiffer....they transfer MORE of the vibrations into the cabin. So at idle you will notice any exsisting virbrations even MORE.

That's kind of what I figured. . .that sucks. . .
but they are supposed to make a big improvent in reducing wheel hop?

Yes. I rode with WShade in his car when I was in San Antonio, and I remember asking him, what was up with the car when he started it up. He then reminded me of the motor mounts. After driving around, it was hardly noticeable till a stoplight. They absolutely killed wheel hop!!!
