just wondering if anyone is an amatuer/ pro lock picker here.

I've just started to try and pick locks for a hobby, picked my house lock 3 times :D

i made my own tools from nails, using a grinder and files.

today i just got done making tools out of an old swiss army knife i had

heres some pics:

it has the tension wrench, a triangle pick and a rake in it.

Im a much better craftsman than i am a lockpick. :)

too bad it's illegal to sell this stuff (i think)

Any tips for a beginner? :)

well, honestly, i am pretty frickin handy at getting past many a lock...
it is kinda a secret requirement for the maintenance profession.

***a tip...if it is a "kwikset" doorknob lock(entry lock), slip something thin in between the cylinder and the knob trim, the circle that the cylinder goes into, and look inside to find the locking mechanism...turn it towards the door jamb, and TADA...your in.

i mean it aint really picking the lock, more like bypassing it.

Filing cabinets are about as advanced as I've picked before. Never tried using/making appropiate tools.

if i ever find you trying to break into my car, youre gonna bite the curb there buddy

(maybe i should put on here that i was just f'in around ;))
im pretty sure no one here would do that

I may take it up as a hobby, I learned a lot from howstuffworks.com, haha, yay for tumblers.,

there is another better site, all text, that explains lock picking and gives excercises, i wish i could find it.

damn, been on a dry streak, couldnt pick my house lock trying for like 20 minutes.

ah well, just need to practice more.
