55w hid fog lamps

Can anyone tell me if I put 55 watt hids in my fog lamps will it melt the housings? I currently have 55w high beams, factory low and 35w fogs with no issue.

There is another thread which talkes about this. The only time I tried it was on my wife's infiniti - it ended charring the plastic reflective part. Replaced the origonal bulbs and Infiniti ended up replacing them on their own when we had it in for an oil change.. Might work better on Mazda - not sure. The HID bulbs work fine for me.

Have been using them for a few years now. They do not run hotter than the 55W halogen bulbs.
