3" custom exhaust question

So basically Im making a custom 3 inch exhaust. I want it to be pretty loud but not too drony. I know it will be somewhat but I know that.

Im planning on going right after the oem downpipe to 3" piping into y pipe which goes 3" to two 2.5" and then goes through two straight through magnaflow mufflers and then Im going to do a custom tips and cutting the bumper but thats besides the point. Im wondering what would be different with that set up than with me just putting one straight through muffler in midpipe and then no more. That muffler would be a 3" inlet/outlet while other two if I chose first way would be 2.5' inlet/oulet.

Does having a muffle in the midpipe reduce more drone then having at end two of them? I tried researching and letts just say everyone says something else so I would like to hear from you guys. Thanks in advanced.

Well in my opinion catback exhausts aren't too loud. The downpipe is what takes things over the top for many people. I have my midpipe (2nd cat) removed. So im straight pipe from the stock DP to magnaflow mufflers. Its really not too loud at all.

As for muflers in the mid pipe . . . not sure if thats possible.

Yea I'm thinking a straight through muffler it's 3 inch in/out and 4 inch diameter actualt muffler round muffler I think it would fit but maybe that's stupid to do idk
