22015: Mazda 5 Vs CX-5
When I bought the MZ 5, I somehow never considered the CX-5! I did consider CR-V.
Now wondering about a switch.
I will lose one seat/passenger.
3" wider (CX-5)
1.8" shorter (CS-5)
2" shorter wheelbase CX-5
Skyactive-G engine will give 3 (2.5l_) or 5 (2L) better mpg
What is the drive is like - which one is fun to drive?
My Auto MZ 5 shifts gear well with plenty of acceleration.
Good torque and it climbs well in mountainous area.
I went to a dealer and started a 2016 CX-5 - used!
It made a engine sound I did not like - little later, as if someone flipped a switch, the engine became quieter.
I did not take it to road - I might have felt the larger truck like wheels - perhaps it does not connect the driver to the road as with MZ 5?
I believe MZ 5 drive like a car - correct me if missed something?
BTW, I never owned an SUV
I could not find the cargo space with just the front row seats - online measurements do not talk about 2 row seats down on MZ 5 - this was an important criteria when I bought the car as it was used to transport stuff to college.

Based on the link above, MZ-5 seems more cargo space with just the front row seat.
I told the salesman, that I feel home with my MZ 5 - IDK but its different!
I also heard 2015 CX-5's are reliable.
You guys owned the CX-5 would be in a better position to comment? Thoughts and tips?
BTW, I love the look of the newer CX-3's and CX-5's - then there is CX-30s and CX-50s making it confusing.
I have also been considering a used Lexus NX series - they are hard to find and mpg is not impressive even on hybrids.
