So I took my 5 into a local quick lube place for an oil change. The lube tech says that the rear main seal (connects tranny to engine) is leaking and to have the dealership look into it. Took it into the dealer this morning and they say it does have a small leak. They are going to replace the seal under warranty (lots of $$ and time as they have to pull the tranny).
The service writer says that he would have told me to keep on driving it if it were on my own nickel and monitor the leak to see if it got any bigger.
Maybe I should buy the extended warranty before I lose the factory 3/36...
