06-07 CD MP3 changer work for 08?

I am thinking to upgrade my factory 08 Mazda5 CD unit to OEM Mazda Factory 6 disc CD mp3 changer(which there is a few forsale on ebay). My question is, will the 06-07 year model fit in to 08 without modification? or adding faceplate?
I had check with the factory serial number, it appear to be the 06-07 cd changer factory serial number is different from the 08 model.

You are right, I've not seen any for the 2008/2009, possibly as the Aux Input made lose demand for a compatible MP3 CD player

Now, as per the players, they look exactly the same from the outside and have exactly the same functions.

The part number may differ given the faceplate color (i.e. the 06-07 brushed aluminum gray to the 08 one changes in tone, or you also get the black one for the stock 6CD player which I guess you have already)
