I am getting ready to purchase a 76 808 wagon, and I just wanted to know what you all thought about the reliability of those vehicles. It is in spectacular condition, and has 80k miles. it is needing timing work done though. In your experience, how reliable are these vehicles?

so my transmission went on my 2003 mazdaspeed protege and was just wondering if it can be replaced with a regular protege one. I am aware that the regular protege is an open diff and not an lsd diff but would it still work? Would be nice if it did, very difficult too find a cheap used mazdaspeed...
