Does anyone know how thick of a wheel spacer is needed to run OEM Nissan steel 16" rims?

Can someone tell me what ice bushings are? A couple of years ago the dealer said they should keep an eye on them, but I don’t go there now. 2013 6MT with no apparent suspension issues.
