Inspired by the Zoom Zoom rant thread I set out to look for the original Zoom Zoom song so I could have it for myself (we all should have it).

It was posted that it was from the movie "Only the Strong" and indeed it was. - Here is the imdb link to the movie:

When I downloaded and listened to the song I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the lyrics are in Portuguese and it's a Brazilian song

So I figured I'd be nice and post the lyrics in Portuguese with the English translation:

*Capoeira is a Martial art/dance invented by the slaves in Brazil in the colonial days. They disguised the fight as a dance so their owners wouldn't stop them. Today not many people use it to fight, but it's usually performed as a show. If you're trying to think of what it is, Eddy from Tekken uses Capoeira as his fighting style. (fight)

So the lyrics aren't genius, but hey, it's still a fun song and it's just something to Capoeira to/ or drive to

I'm definitively burning this song to a CD so I can play it in my car during "choice" moments

And for those of you who are sick of hearing about the Zoom Zoom from friends I suggest you make them sick of it by bringing it up yourself repeatedly - if you do it before they get a chance they'll get tired of it themselves and never bring it up again

Last night I burned a CD of the zoom zoom song (repeated 5 times) and I tested it out this morning.

I couldn't help myself and was just laughing histerically at the fact that I actually had gone all the way to do that and was driving a Mazda with the zoom zoom song going. (rofl)


I don't think any other car company can say that their customers are doing crazy stuff like that.

I just threw together a "re-mix" of the tune "ZUM ZUM ZUM" from "Only the Strong" - You'll know it as the theme from the Mazda commercials.

Yeah, I also have a CD of the zoom zoom song. People just look at me like i'm crazy listening to it as I drive. They just don't understand... It's a Mazda thing. This is my first post. I'm kinda new to this forum stuff. Any suggestions?

I was always embarassed by the zoom zoom thing. When i test drive a mazda 3 the sales guy told me to take it easy because it was a "zoom-zoom" car.

I guess it was meant to be I'm not a Mazda guy...

well this thread is kind of old, and the remix was put up a little over 3 YEARS ago, its obviously gone by now.

HOWEVER, the link to the mp3 of the song in my post is still there.
