Traded my 02 Celica GT in for the Protege after the engine went at 19,000mi. Still miss it..:(

The first car I ever drive but not 100% mine was a 85 Chevrolet Monza (Opel Kadett plataform, same first generation Chevrolet Cavalier in US, Cadillac Cimarron) but my previous car was a 96 Ford Laser (Mazda Proteg BG generation, only sold in Australia, South America, Taiwan and other Asian countries)... I really love color, a reliable car but with a 1.6 B6 Engine and automatic transmission...

ah you haveor had a crap am to! lol I hate the POS of a car. the stupid t-stat was under the exhuast manfold! If I didn't have such small hands you would literally have to removed the exhuast manfold to get to it!

first car was a GLC 5door RWD bitches!! Then I moved up to a 1980 corrola with a 5M-GE swap. I later turboed it and killed it at 24psi. I parted it out and bought an E30 M3 for $5500 from a guy that was stationed in germany and brought it back with him. Damn thing was in mint condition. I sold that to some rich kid who went out and totaled it. The I bought my good ol 323 which I am still stuck with along with a broken down toyota pickup and a multi-personality*cough* I mean multi purpose vehicle. yeah.... right..... anyway I would post a pic of my GLC but I didn't have a digital camera untill after I bought the 323. I used to have some pics of it that I will scan if I can find them.

My last 3 cars, in order:

1994 Mazda Miata "A-Pkg" 5-speed:

2001 Nissan Maxima GLE automatic:
Max FP lo.webp

2003 Mazda Protege 5, 5-speed:

The Miata was the most fun to drive car I've even owned. More fun than 944's, 928's or Boxster's. But it had lots of problems I didn't uncover until after owning for a while, so I got the Maxima. Fast car, very comfy- but boring. (The 'WAAHOO plate was a carry-over from the Miata.) The P5 is lots of fun and stone-cold reliable, so far (knock on wood). I plan to have it for a long time- or until I can afford a Miata hard top or Hemi Challenger. :)

Nice Scooby. Why did you get rid of it!

a few reasons.

I had took a big hit on my NA MR2 when I traded it in for the WRX, so I had a pretty big car payment, which was no problem when I bought it, cuz I was living at home, rent free. I was also paying a premium on my car insurance from a previous accident, so again, no biggie wince I as living at home. Then the GF and I moved into an apartment together about 4-5 months later and paid rent plus nearly the same amount as rent on the car+insurance ( I was also 24 when I moved out-I think, and paying more again for insurance)

Well, we did that for over a year and it got to be too much of a strain financially, so I sold it for something cheap, my GSR (got it hella cheap). The aftermarket stuff on the WRX I was able to part out and make up alot of that negative equity in the car when I sold it. Of course, in retrospect, I've put more into the MR2+swap+mods than what I sold the WRX for, but then again, we're making alot more than we were when we first moved in together.
