You know what needs to be a sticky??

:
Mazda P5
What the MP5 upgrades are.

I Am NOT taking full credit for the info listed, I pulled 99% of this info off of www.mazdas247.com and just thought it would be useful to be found all in one place so most people can refer to this as a guide. Perform at your own risk, but these mods have all been done and should work IF done properly.

VTCS delete on the top portion of the intake manifold (plug the hole with a bolt)

DO NOT delete the VICS (creates more torque for N/A setups) unless you turbo,

The VICS are in the middle and round, Do NOT get mixed up with the VTCS, pair with the MP3 ECU (140hp - 142tq) or Reflash the MP5 ECU to mirror MP3.

An aftermarket header, you will have to adjust the EGR valve and put on a non fouler for no codes.
-OBX
-AWR
-Pacemaker
-Mazda 626 header (http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123793444-HOW-TO-Mazda-626-Headers-on-2.0-Protege)

-CAI, several choices out there depending on where you want it, and some you will just have to turn the coolant reservoir around.

-1.8l coil conversion with the 626 valve cover, coils, and spark plug wires,
Also you can use the v6 oil filter (2000 626).
WIX XP Oil Filter number: 51356
-Mazda 626 single runner intake manifold

Brake upgrade for the front and rear. I believe using the mazda 6 rear calipers you need to modify the e-brake.
Front: (Height | Width | Weight)
2006-09 Mazda6 (v6) : 299mm | 25mm | 19lbs
2003-05 Mazda6 (v6) : 282mm | 25mm | 14.8lbs
2003-03.5 Mazda MSP: 273mm | 24mm | 13.5lbs
2002-03 Mazda Pro5 : 257mm | 24mm | 12lbs

Rear: (Height | Width | Weight)
2006-09 Mazda6 (v6) : 280mm | 10mm | 9.3lbs
2003-04 Mazda6 (v6) : 280mm | 10mm | 9.3lbs
2003-03.5 Mazda MSP: 280mm | 10mm | 9.3lbs
2002-03 Mazda Pro5 : 261mm | 10mm | 9lbs
THERE IS NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED, TAKE YOUR OLD CALIPERS/PADS/ROTORS AND PUT IN THE NEW CALIPERS/PADS/ROTORS AND DRIVE AWAY, COMPLETE BOLT ON.
NOTE: if and when purchasing new setup make sure you get the caliper brackets as well

Adding turbo using the MSP setup:
MSP turbo
MSP exhaust manifold
MSP s-pipe
IC setup and piping
Oil feed/return lines
MSP ECU
Tap in either oil pan or crank case

FMIC
Of course all of those parts can be replaced by something better but of similar nature (eg GT28RS instead of the MSP GT2554R).

-Racing Beat
-Progress
-AWR

Rear Strut Tower Bar:
-MX-6 bar
-AWR

FS-ZE cams can be swapped over to the FS-DE
-Also you can do KL swap:

Done! I took the useful info from that post. Hopefully people are smart enough to know they can paint or plastidip their plastic interior and rims.
Now I will continue to monitor and update accordingly so myself and others have useful info. Now if a Mod can change the title and sticky this, that would be amazing.

I've been wanting to make a post like this myself, but i'm a lazy bum. Thanks for taking the initiative! Great info! (thumb)

Thanks. I want to put in the 5th gear swap but I can't find any info in it. What year and models because the website that used to sell them no longer exists.

CDM grill, JDM cupholders, MP3 splitter, JDM console extension, GT Spec everything - Trailing Links/LTB/FR STB/RR STB/Ladder Brace/Vbrace/Reinforcement panel, JDM footwell lighting kit, HID projector retrofit headlights, MSP door sills, MSP floormats, MSP/MP3 pedal covers, HID oem fog mod, cut off VTCS rod even with first IM runner instead of doing screw and having dangling actuator, MSP ECU even if no turbo and if manual trans, MSP VC with engine cover................I'm sure I missed more.

This is great! subbed

And I can't believe no one mentioned the JDM tail light swap! Probably the most popular and easiest plug-and-play mod for the P5.
