go for paradas. I heard they're some good tires. i got sumitomo. they're not bad. they do the job.

you have the sumitomo? how are they? i consider them because of price and i like how they look

they're pretty good to me. i can hit the turns on a snap. damn good on wet weather. real good traction.

but at the moment i got capital negotatiors on my front wheels and sumitomo on my back wheels. i wore out my front tires after a few months

I had sumitomo's on first they are very nice, it was funny that this thread came up because my friend and i where talking about this yesterday. But the spec2's have crushed hazelnuts and walnuts in there compound, almost to the point of sand size, so you cant even notice, they are better in wet conditions, when you need a little bit more traction. The reason for the hazelnuts are because they never break in a rounded fashion, they always break jagged. I heard they are a great tire, but i really loved the sumitumo's, they look nice too.

they break them down into little tiny grains almost to the size of sand. and they mix them into the compound when they make the tires. They are in there for better traction. If you see a set a new spec2's and look very closely you will see what i am talking about. Or contact Yokohama of US and they wil tell you.

no im not going to buy sumi's anymore. i went to this shop to get my rims and my tint for my car. and the guy made me a deal for some capital tires. For like 60 bucks for each tire if i come there. i was like ok...sounds good. No need for shipping and handling charges from tirerack.

go for some sumi's. they're good and cheap. and get some better ones in the future. in the future go from some dunlop. now those are good!

you live in cali, im guessing you dont het that much rain like here in Oregon, I would go with the SUMI's because they are a good tire at a good price, you wouldnt know the difference, and the rubber compound is the same, just without all the NUTS.

i dunno. in the whole us california has the worst roads. and believe me their bad. but the tires lasted long. and i went to a few autocrosses. and they worked fine.

I recommend the Yokohama AVS ES 100's. Excellent handling in either dry or wet conditions and a very stable and predictable response during hard cornering. They are also very quiet for a performance tire. I can't say anything about longevity because I haven't had them that long but, at this point, I would buy them again.

i'm with goldstar...i've got the ES100's and they're great. amazing in the rain and very good dry traction. it takes a little while for them to warm up and get sticky, but not too long. very quiet too. i had them on for most of the summer and they seem to be wearing very well.
