Yet Another MSP Wrecked!

yeah, the unibody is scewed.....
on the other note, i've seen MSP's in much worse accidents than this (here locally), and they were not totalled.

who is the insurance company?

they are good.
most likely will total it. they would rather total it out now than deal with problems later.
i have AAA as well,
it took 5 business days for them to take care of everything after i totalled my msp.

hmm if you dont mind... how much did they pay out on it? how long did you own it? if you would prefer not to say thats cool, if you would prefer to say but in a PM thats cool as well. thanks

They will pay you fair market value, basically they will look at what prices other MSPs are selling at and give you a figure around there, in the MSP case I am not too sure how that would work out since there are probably 2-3 MSPs left for sale in the country, so I would think they would take bluebook value or some s*** like that. Basically they will pay you as little as reasonably possible.

Keep in mind that with a car that has had frame damage, most insurance companies will cut you a check for a given amount due to the fact that the car's resale value is going to drop considerably. Mod money, G! You might want to start hoping the DON'T total it :).

i bought my first MSP for arround $19,800.
owned it for 5 1/2 months.
they payed it off, and gave me $650 (1,150 - 500 deductable).

they priced it at $17,300 after 5 1/2 months.

when they priced it, they used blue book value and two independent companies, then took an average of three.

I did this last month and it was repaired. I just got it back Friday. My insurance co. is AAA too. I also totaled my yellow MSP back in May.
LaserBlue, check your PM.

Doesn't look totalled from the pics. there was a Titanium on here that was way worse and they fixed it.

Good thing everyone was okay though.

Britt
Yeah, he's right the Titanium one was way worse and they fixed it.
I attached the pics of the Titanium that they fixed.

(rofl)

Man, if they even tried to SAY they were going to try to fix that s*** for me, I'd have told them they could stick the finished product where the sun don't shine. Surely this is a joke?

bulls***! No way in Hell I would have even considered a fix on that. My God that ****** would hardly even need to go to the crusher once it gets to the junk yard.

well the adjuster came out, and told me that he can not tell me if its totalled or not just yet, but to give me a clue. all the welds in the trunk fell apart, the whole rear clip is done. and since the car is less than a year old, they can not put used parts on it. therefore EVERY PART they must order directly from mazda. which is gonna be extremely expensive. so i dont know what to expect, but either way, i dont particularly care.

They better say its totaled and cut you a check. Otherwise you have a huge headache coming down the road.
Did the adjuster at least make a list of all the parts that would have to be ordered?

adjuster is an idiot.
the car is not less than one year old,
it's a freakin' protege!

That gray msp is screwed.................damn does anyone know if the people in that car are ok?
