it's a done deal, canada is getting half and half this time. We're not getting shafted this time :)

I tell ya though, for someone that had his mind made up on the orange, I'm screwed now....back to square one.
LOL. I'm with ya. I had decided against the black because as bad-ass as it is, I knew it would be a b**** to keep clean. However, the titanium is definitely bad-ass as well, and a real sleeper (maybe even more than the black) and shouldn't show dirt as readily. Plus, I think the people who thought I was insane for even considering buying an orange car would start talking to me again :D.

I hear ya brotha! Someone asks me why I'm selling the MP3, and what I'm trading it in for, their like......are you nuts...an orange car!

I almost wonder if I am nuts really. If that damn thing had fogs in it, or even if I knew they would fit, it would make my decision a lot easier.

Thanks for posting this pics...... I think :)

Hey ....
JasonH, i guess the pre-production model comes with aluminum/steel piping, but the actual production model doesn't come with it. Digi168, even posted a picture of the grey MSP at Detroit Auto Show which he proved to us with the new piping. Just like when some of us thought that we were suppose to get 3 head rest in the rear, turns out it was just a hump on the upper seat.....

Anyway, what are the production #'s suppose to be? How many Grey's and Yellow's?

Anyone know what the new from new with the ducting suppose to cool?

Now that there isn't a foglight, i wonder what they replaced the switch with? another stub? There's already enough blank spaces there....:(

The picture that you posted above....
no foglights, now replaced with a grill....when you enlarged the picture, they called it 'ducting' or something....i thought maybe it would cool the brakes or something?....

Oh, LOL

I think they just did it for looks, and left out the fogs because of Price, or maybe the stock ones don't fit no more with the extra piece on the bumper

Production numbers are 2500 Total I think. 750 for Canada( half yellow half gray)

Do you know if the new front lip is an add-on peice?
Or just a new complete bumper?...
If it's a lip, i wonder if it would fit our current Mp3/MSP with the foglight's removed?

The new ducting/vent on the bumper will definitely help if you have a CAI set-up with the filter right behind it!!! :D

Looking at that pic Newf attached, a thought occured to me. What do you think the possibility is of dirt and debris collecting along the lip? Worse yet, working its way behind the lip and scouring the paint underneath? See the file I attached for clarification (the smiley face is a bonus).
What I wouldn't give to see an orange MSP and a grey MSP side by side. My right arm I would! Ok, maybe I wouldn't go that far.

I thought I was the only one that was getting bad reactions when I tell people I am strongly considering getting an orange car. "What? Orange?" Almost makes me want to get it out of spite, but as we all know from Seinfeld, that's not a good idea.

Grimace, I'm sure a good, pressurized wash would take care of any accumulated dirt along the lip.

I've been getting some interesting reactions to the orange, as well. A lot of guys aren't too keen on the idea, but most of the girls have been pretty excited about it.

Now the question is: is Spicy Orange a chick-magnet, or just a chick-colour?

Hmmm...

Grimace..
i didn't think anyone would bring this up..but it is so true!
With my MSP, there's a lot of dirt accumulating on the rear skirt area, where it meets the bumper. If you don't wash it often in those area, some dirt is hard to get out. Even with a regular hose spray doesn't do the job, you'll need pressurized spray to get it out or get down there and use your hands with a mitt of course.

Anyway, with Toronto weather we can't do much nowadays, just drive it through the automatic car wash and see how good for it job it can get in those areas....

i like the happy face.
:)

That same possiblity exists on your current vehicles right around the front grill. Especially if you have an autoexe grill.

Check out all the yellow 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege pics here:

2003.5 Mazdaspeed Gallery

These are 25% of original size and came directly from the Mazdaspeed NAIAS CD. Obviously, the orange one that was posted earlier was just a bad picture or something.

The more I look at the yellow (and the style of the 2003.5) the more I like it. I think Mazda screwed up making me wait this long. I now have the option of the 2003 orange, the 2003.5 yellow or titanium and whatever they announce for 2004 (hopefully next month and hopefully some info on the 2004 Mazdaspeed 3.)

bump ... very nice :D

damn, i like that bumper, spoiler and exhaust tip a helluva lot. Wish i could have it. That grey....looks soo slick and saweeetttt. I WANT
anyone want a hooked up 94 Protege. I found my new car!

lol.:D

If I ever see a laser blue mica MSP from the factory, I will personally start Mazda HQ on fire. I will use all of our worn rubber bushings to fuel the fire.
