Throw a turbo on that... yeah baby (lol2)

if it was me.. i wouldnt buy a new 600 as a first bike.. buy a used one.. learn to ride it for a year.. drop it.. beat it up.. run it into s***.. learn how to ride on it.. then when u get tired of the power of the 600.. but a brand spankin new 750 or a 1000.. and now that u have some riding experience u will be less likely to drop it..
after all there are only 2 kinds of riders.. riders that have fallen.. and riders that are going to fall..

I have a Yamaha Blaster that I tool around on. I bought it years ago. It's a fun little quad. I wish I had something faster but I already own the Blaster. Another thing about the blaster is the brakes suck. They fade really fast and they are mechanical drums in the front. Fun to ride wheelies on all day long though.

A 4-wheeler is fun but you need to have places to go. I live in the boonies so there are a lot of riding spots. Plus my parents house sits on 130 acres so I have room there for anything I want to do too.

Grass 1/4 mile drags anyone?

Edit: I just looked at the new Blaster. They upgraded the brakes! Cool s*** that was my only real gripe about it. They are pretty indestructable have fun with it.

Buy my used 900RR and just don't twist the throttle too hard. :) It's actually a really easy bike to ride if you don't do stupid.

Thats a beast man. I cant really afford that Yamaha. Not to mention the fact that we got 2 of them and its also my first bike. We got a good deal on them and couldnt pass it up.

Man, I'm tired of people saying if you ride a sport bike you will drop it!!

Please list the facts to follow that statement.
I've been riding just over 10 years now and I'm yet to drop my bike.
It's all about self control and not riding beyond your person ability and the road conditions. I'd admit accidents do happen.
But it's definitely not a fact.
Dre, has given some pretty decent insight to what it's all about. Obviously because he has riding experience.
The best thing I can recommend is to take a riding course before starting to shop for a bike. Two main reasons are to find out whether you enjoy street riding first and second is to gain self confidence in your riding ability by improving your riding skills and accident avoidance.
I wouldn't label anyone 600 sport bike any less safe than another.
There is so mixed opinions on this topic when you read all these posts.
If I read some of these comments when I first decided to take up riding I probably would have been scared or had doubts about riding at all.
Hey Bro, I wasn't generallizing about "sport bikes". I've just seen too many people who go on and buy a new bike for their 1st bike, regardless if its a sport bike, or curiser, and drop the thing. Even in the MSF, the instructors even make it a point that YOU WILL DROP your bike. That's all I was getting at.

Buy used and get a 500 to start. Its underpowered but you can control it. My first bike was a 650. What a mistake, dropped it twice first summer. The bike you are looking at is for an experianced rider. Just my $.02
