I have been looking at the XXR 518 rims (http://xxrwheels.com/xxr_518.shtml#) flat black for my Sunlight Silver 08MS3, but I cannot get a gage if these will even fit. In the past I would plug in the year, make and model into a site like tirerack and it would tell me what fit; not the case here. I would appreciate any advice or guidance. I want to keep my existing tire size of: 215/45 18. When I order these rims what should I be ordering? Thanks in advance for your recommedations and advice!

what size are you looking at? im guessing 18's but what offset?

edit: i actually just saw they dont even mention offset.... so are you lookin at the 7 inch wide or 8.5?

Looking at the 18's. Really don't know the difference in offset b/w 7" and 8.5". What would you recommend and what is the difference really? Sorry, bit of a novice when it comes to this. If judging by the post below: 18" Volks it looks like they state a 8.5 offset. If the offset pushes the tire outside of the wheel well then I will go with a 7". Is 7" what was stock? I'm not looking to track the car as this is a daily commuter, but want something that gives the car more character.

actually offset that would be the width of the rims. offset is measured from the center of the rim and determines how far out the hub, (the part where the studs connect to the wheel) sits, if the offset is 0 it is directly in the center of the rim. if the offset is positive, like a +15 the hub is apprx. 15mm towards the outside of the wheel. if it is negative it will fit inward more, providing a bigger lip, or greater concavity. look up offset in google, do a little reading it should be able to explain it, if i didnt make any sense. but when in doubt go with a skinnier rim, so the 7 inch width will def fit, but if you want the 8.5 then you might have to look up the offset.

hope i helped

18 x 7 have 48 offset, I know b/c I have them...lowered on H&R sport springs and stock tires. No issues to report.

If your keeping the stock size tire go with a 7'' or 7.5'' wide wheel, you can go with a 8'' wide but its alittle strecthed and it doesn't handle quite as good+ theres no rim protection from the tire with an 8.
