Xenon's and battery light???

Hey, Just picked her up lastnight and love it. Just a few questions. First, On my way into work this morning I noticed my headlights in the lowbeam mode are like about only 20feet out in front of the car on the ground. It is set at 0 and I do have the Xenon's. I turned them all the way up and it helped but still not very far out in front of car. Any comments appreciated. Also, driving around town lastnight my battery light was intermittently coming on and off. Now on my way into work tonight it did not happen. Once again any comments are appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, I keep my headlights all the way up (on 3). The still don't go out as far as I would like, but they are not bad. I have no idea why anyone would want them set on zero or 1. As for the battery light, don't know what to tell ya....if it keeps coming on, take it back to the dealer...

You may have a short

you may have a short in you're system some where. If its not at the right level check with you're dealer and ask them if they can manualy adjust them. In my other car they can but i'm not sure if they can because of the auto level stuff. Just call them and tell them to start thinking and take it back for a day and see what they think.

Hopefully just a loose cable or connector on the battery.

Don't know about the xenons...I think we'd have to see a picture comparison to see exactly how different it was from a supposedly "normal" one :/

I can say I'm satisfied with my xenons. The beam is more wide (and evenly so) than it is far, but it exceeds my expectations in both...and I generally have mine on 0, which is the recommended setting as per the owners manual according to my passenger load.

Hope you get the probs worked out.

Hey, isn't the adjuster on the dash only to LOWER the headlights when the back end is sitting lower (which would cause the headlights to aim too high)? I know that I can visibly see the headlight aim get lower when I change the setting from anything other than "0"... Is mine working correctly?

Update: Brought my car in and it was just a connection on the alternator that was loose and causing the battery light to go on. I totally forgot to even mention the Xenons. I am getting more use to them now and if still concerned will mention it at my 5000 mile service.
