No HID for canadian trim. You can only go aftermarket or buy the whole HID headlight module from US.

ya i know we done get them, i just wanted to see wut they look like from the factory so i can do the same

According to Canadian law, HID's cannot be used as DRL's. And disabling DRL's is obviously illegal too. So the only way to get it to work (and still be legal), is to make the high-beam or parking light act as DRL's. Having said that, I know several Canadian Mazda6 HID-converts who chose the option of disabling the DRL.

As for Mazda's HID systems, for both the RX-8 and Mazda3, the HID light is white (not blue).

Most (all?) OEM HID headlight systems are in the low 4K light frequencies. This is the closest light to sunlight that can be acheived. The "blue"/"purple" light seen on the HID's from BMW/Audi/Lexus' is due to the ECE-spec projectors throwing the blue-spectrum light further (than the red-spectrum) at the edges of the projector lenses. From straight on this phenomenon is not visible. You can see it in action when driving in front of one and it hits a bump in the road, the blue-ish light gets tossed around a bit before the cars suspension evens outs.

This is, by far, not a technical answer, but an overview. No (flame2)'s please! :)
