xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

Those orange things are just covers.

What would you say about the quality of the beam pattern of the ebay headlights. Is it decent like stock, given HID?

I personally think the stock P5 housing is awesome at handling HID compared to 99% of housings. So I'm curious, do the Depo lights preserve the awesomeness?

appearently mazda says my endlinks are loose..

if they're just loose, why did they estimate 190$ for the rear?

LMAO!!!!! Whatever you do, do not let those pieces of s*** take your money.

The electric impact will take those nuts off the endlinks really easily. about 90 dollars plus you get a brand new tool :D. It is really simple to do yourself man.

haha i wont, but i also dont know how to fix that, as i wasn't there when they checked them.

so wait, i just have to ask why they saw that if i just asked them to check my cel which I KNEW from a previous scan was the egr valve.

because they always look over the entire car for something that they could tell you is "about to go bad" or something along those lines. It happens all the time. Don't let them do that s*** to you. Also, if they try to tell you it's not your egr and a bunch of other s***, tell them to **** off, buy the egr valve for 150 and replace it yourself.

hey thanks fish,
ill see about the tool, and i'll see if dub still has his endlinks from the p5

they did exactly that,
but i knew th code beforehand so i was gonna call bs.
they called me and said "hey yeah, turns out its not the egr valve, there's actually another series of probles causing the CEL", and i told them i had the car scanned and that i new the code was p0401, and would have it fixed by my own family mecanic. They called me back 5 mins, later saying they rechecked and the egr was defective and that the labour and part was going to be free.

they said i have to change my center engine mount which is leaking, the air duct has cracks causing air pressure loss, and my ac and alternator belts need changing.

i new about the belts so thats fine, but the engine mount i have no way of knowing, they want to charge 195$ + tax.
and air duct(which by that they mean the hose which connects the MAF to the throttle body) ill just leave and replace with a CAI.

WTF!?

i just googled it, and appearently that CAN happen,
it also explains my car shifting oddly at higher rpm

What mount are they talking about? There is no liquid in any of the mounts as far as I know even thought a couple people have said that their passenger side one has leaked some weird s***. Either way, unless it is the rear mount, it is very simple to replace the motor mount. I'm glad we could help you a bit because it sounds like you got some mechanics that really like to take advantage of people.

its the central one, i hope dub doesnt get pissed when he sees this massive threadjack -.-

and i never noticed anything leaking under the car accept the normal water from the ac

I'm just saying that you could save A LOT of money by asking around on the forums and doing the job yourself. When I joined the site I didn't even know what an intake did on the car or how to change my oil but now I feel comfortable doing a lot of things I would have never tried before. I still don't feel comfortable taking apart and engine or anything but I know that I'll get to that point someday as well. There's a reason that they charge you so much at the shop and it's called labor. The parts are rarely ever expensive.

EDIT: what central one? The one in the front??

EDIT AGAIN: it's ok dub won't mind :D

yeah the one in front, thats what i meant.
and it just goes to show how lucky we are that its all been done before us
