its a protection mechanism, the car doesn't believe it has enough fuel delivery capacity to keep up with the amount of air being forced in, so it shuts off combustion all together.

Hey Bud, good to see you got everything put in! Howd that FMIC install go? The fuel cut thing is something we all deal with; only a few degrees difference and your ride will become a completely different animal. Ive been able to address this by having two different maps that i can switch between on my ssafc. Since the weather has been so fickle here in GA lately, ive been keeping my laptop in the car. I'd recommend picking up some sort of fuel management soon :-)

I'm becoming so mind ****** by my car, I'm going to loose my sanity here soon. I need to take it to a local msp expert and let him diagnose my problems, cause I am having no luck.

Not a local though, or I so would. Gonna try and setup something with Bob, hes in LA which is a lot closer than Emeryville. lol.

man, don't even know where to start. Since the turbo went on, sometimes if I floored it but wasn't in the lowest gear possible, there was spikes of hesitation. Well the day I got the nipple welded for the bpv is when the "fuel cut" s*** started happening where I was getting violent feedback from the motor if I pushed it at all but I hooked up the bpv yesterday and the "fuel cut" is gone, which makes me think it wasn't fuel cut, but now I have my idle drop very low when I stop, like to 100, and it'll even flash the CEL and batt light for a half second like it stalled but then jump back up to the normal idle. Oh, and also, now if I tap the gas at idle or try to take off from a stop, the motor misses, like it sounded with a fouled spark plug, a tad bit, but only sometimes, not every time.

On the upside, she drives fine now, wot or not, its just at low speeds I'm having these stupid issues. I still get those "hesitation spikes" sometimes but those are very minor and hardly noticeable if you're not the driver of the car.

Did you try changing sparkplug cables? Another car battery?
Reseting the ecu and then setting the idle rpm?

I suppose you checked the sparkplugs again?

i was going to say spark plugs too. when i turned the boost up past 10, i had hesitation problems. but i changed the spark plugs a step colder and gapped them closer and the problem went away

did u check all ur couplers? Make sure u dont have a leak. The idle will drop almost like the car is about to turn off if u have a leak. Well thats what i think. Spark plugs would be my 2nd choice.

I changed the coils and wires a month or so ago and the plugs got replaced a few weeks ago but it was still there.

The bpv is after the maf but I'm recirc to the intake, but I seem to be having the stalling issues but not as bad as if I would of left it vta, but I figure thats why my idle is dropping so low and possible giving me my missing issue as well.

Oh, and the cherry on top is the bpv didn't even eliminate the turkey, it got rid of most of it but it appears when I quick shift at 5psi or higher.

If i get it right... You had this issue, changed the plugs and still got it?
Or you changed everything previously and you now have this issue?

this sounds like a problem another member remedies by cleaning the EGR. FYI, my car does the same thing... I've learned to live with it for now... but definitely should get on fixing it. also... FYI another member claimed this was a WGA problem, which I know is bad on my car currently, just haven't dealt with it yet.

that means you're double metering this air... the BPV needs to be on the same side of the MAF, not looped back behind it.

When I was fouling a plug every couple weeks, I thought it might of been due to a faulty coil so I replaced the wires, coils and plugs but soon after I found out the VICS in the IM had came loose and one was getting ate up by cylinder 4, causing the plug to foul. I got a new plug then soon after, the hesitation was there so I replaced all 4, but the hesitation was still there.

Maybe it has to do with not having VICS in my IM?
