WW Evo Hood on MSP

I was bored. Really bored. So I did this one up in The Gimp for you all. =) It's of an orange CF hood with gunmetal grilles. Take a gander.

almost there flat... keep practicing... looks more red then orange...

Hehee... I chose the darker shade of orange just because it made it look more like the orange CF weave I've seen. =) Yours definitly looks more vibrant!

I love the hood, but here is a photoshop request that I think will make all the diffrence in the world. Can someone take the Spicy Orange and "paint" the raised section of the hood coming off the headlights (ala MrMP3 s blue and CF hood) on these two pics. Basically I fee that the painted side portions of the hood and the CF center would make this an all out sweet car.

thanks guys, there is a pic of the underside on the WW site

basically looks like it was shrinwrapped in thick black plastic, not super elite CF frame and underside like you might want, but i like it, and the body shop im having things painted at thought it was awesome.

as for painting the sides, initially that was my plan, but then I realized, imo it would look halfassed without having a CF grill to complete the lines created by a ww type paint job. and for right now, having a CF grill custom made is a little out of my price range (i checked )

i am 90% sure im going to have the same pearl coat with gold flecks that is on my whole car, put on the hood, and leave it at that. Just put my RH Evolution S7s on this friday in gunmetal and they look SICK with the hood.

as for when I ordered it, check with mitch from protege5 online, i ordered it through him, think I was the first one to do so - looong time ago, but hell i waited for 9 months for my car, so this was no biggie

I went and saw Slug420's car this weekend....I must say, the hood looks much better in person than in the pictures. The grills still stand out a little too much for my tastes, but they aren't that bad...it's pretty cool seeing "MAZDASPEED" stamped in the heat shield for the Turbo Manifold when looking through the hood (Chris, get a picture of that).

The new rims are sweet...offset brings the rear wheels right out to the edge of the fenderline. Also, I must say that your Spool Lift Kit is awesome...really jacked up the rear end

Not sure if you could pull off those rims without the hood though (may be too dark), but the two compliment eachother nicely.

I think a vid would get the whole picture across better.

didnt read this whole thread but my opinion...


paint the grills black, then paint the hood on the sides along the contours orange like your car, so the middle V is C/F

then put the hood louvers on the sides =)
