WTB: Stock MSP Shift Knob

Same here...I have been looking for one for over 6 months...NO luck...Also had Mazda looking for a replacement.I finally got the DCSM to authorize replacing my knob with one of my choice and they will pay for it.Might want to try your dealer..I will give you my dealers number if they want to eliminate all the BS I had to go through to realize that they would have to do it this way.

well i went to the dealer today and they said that they would order me a new one. and a new kenwood hu becuase mine didn't spit the cd out. they got the cd out anyway and next week i'll have knew shift knob and HU.
i'll probably sell the HU though.

Just to let you know....you CAN NOT get the Sparco original shift knob for the MSP from the dealer...PERIOD!
When it comes in it will be the MAzdaspeed Knob from the 03.5 speed with the yellow stitching on it.Trust me...I have been at this for over a year for a damn shift knob just out of principal.I finally got Mazda to agree to order me the shift knob of my choice to replace the one that they should still have available but do not.
LMK if you want my dealers info to get this taken care of in a faster fashion.
You'll see what you get when your knob comes in...Don't be shocked...No matter how much you think you can get the right knob...It wont happen.The part # has been superceeded to the 03.5 part #.

i asked them and they said that they just ordered one from my vin number. i hope i get the 03 one. not really a fan of the 03.5

Trust me...VIN or no VIN,it will be the 03.5.I don't expect you to order it through my dealer at all but your dealer can contact mine and see what they had to go through with the Mazda DCSM Rep...They had to Authorize the reimbursement for me to pick out a shift knob of my choice for the speed since the original is no longer available.
Let me know what knob you get...but I have the utmost confidence that it will not be what you wanted nor what they thought they ordered.
