They are the same

Are you looking for a motor with turbo and all that already attached?

GL with that.

Not many guys willing to sell their motors.

Best buy is protegegarage as already linked above

If you're dead set on going turbo, more is needed than just the engine.

One other question, you 5 speed or auto?

If you're worried about a budget, just pick up a motor from Ken and have it put in your car

tanks

i understand what you're saying, but, to be honost, if you're worried about buying a motor you know nothing about, buying a TURBO motor you know nothing about should scare you a zillion times more

If you know your motor, sink the dough into it and get it runnin again, then slap a MSP kit on it. It'll be alot easier to source the MSP kit rather than a motor with the MSP kit on it that is still any good

yeap you right

Mazdaspeed protege engines are the same as the regular 2.0 protege motors.

As to the V6 swap, as said, fitment isn't that big a deal, but wiring is DIY to the extreme

NOTHING plugs and plays.

Least you have teh benefit of 2 other members going the V6 route right now

.....Just wanted to make sure that this is completely true as I am about to purchase a reg non turbo motor to build and put in my MSP. Im pretty sure everything is the same but i would like to hear it from a few others before i buy into it and drive 6 hours round trip to get it. Thanks.

i think the only differences are there are some taps for oil lines that the regular engine doesnt have. easy for any shop to drill and put those in for you. the only one i can think of is the oil line from the resivoir to the turbo.

The block is the same, ans if your going the sp turbo route, just make sure you buy the upper oil pan (has the turbo line plate) from mazda and it will mount just the same.
