wtb a msp tranny

this morning i was on my way to work. driving down the road in 2nd (getting ready to shift into 3rd) and i heard a loud grinding sound. so i tryd to sift into 3rd it wont not go or to any gears. so i know i need a tranny. anybody have one??

You can get a junkyard tranny from any car that ran the fsde (ie. p5, protege, probe, 626, millenia). I have heard of people getting the junkyard trannys for next to nothing.

yea i was thinking about checkin the local junkyards. what year 626 would work for my car? because i found an 1996 626 5speed on craiglist

Any year with the 4cyl fsde would work. I'm not sure on the years.

Yes, it'll work.

You'll have an extra sensor on the top (speed sensor) that will remain unplugged once installed.

You'll also lose your LSD that came stock in the MSP.
