WTB: 00 1.6L Stock air box setup

Hey all. As the title says, Im looking for the stock airbox setup from a 1.6 liter ZM-DE Protege sedan. I sold mine when I went CAI and now I regret selling it. Ive been through 3 CAI set-ups and cant get rid of my CEL. Im convinced my car is not meant to have anything other than stock. Anyone help me out?

Also meant to ask, WTB: RB muffler. Hate the way my Thunder Racing muffler section sounds so Im looking to possibly ditch the muffler for the Racing Beat. Whats everyone thoughts on it?


Lastly, just out of curiosity, anyone use the Weapon R CAI for the 1.6L from Protege Garage? Thoughts on it?

Steve, I have the SRIs in stock, you should buy one. No CELs and no hesitation.
Are you running the muffler with or without the silencer?

Yeah, I have the Simota too. But I can't fix my hesitation problems. I have done everything I can think of to fix it and nothing. I switched to the Toyota Celica GTS MAF sensor and no luck. I put the rubber tire insert around the opening for the MAF and nothing. I don't know what to do..... You have the 1.6 liter too? You have any pics of the intake box? Id love to take it off your hands, but don't know what to offer for it. Let me know what you are looking to get for it and Ill see what I can do. Thanks.

I don't need another SRI. I have the one you sold to me a while back, along with the Thunder Racing muffler section. I do have a CEL and hesitation all the way through my RPM range. And I think Im running the muffler without the silencer. I bought both the N1 style muffler section and the other one you had for sale, but they both look the same and sound the same. Ive been meaning to ask if when I bought the second muffler from you, the with the smaller diameter opening, if that's the one you sent me. You have pictures of the 2 separate muffler sections?

I honestly didn't remember that you had two. I only carried one type for a while. The only other one I ever had was just a sample and I sold it years ago.
It looked almost stock...the difference was obvious, you'd know if you had it.
As for the SRI, something else must be going on too, to cause a CEL AND hesitation. Gotta be a leak or something. Have you ever run the code?

I haven't checked on the code yet... Ive had a history of either "Excessive Airflow", "Misfire in Cylinder 3" or "Malfunctioning Oxygen Sensor".

If the 2 mufflers are SO different, then the two I have are the same. I bought the same muffler sections from you, twice. Haha. And I have no idea what's causing the hesitation then. I think Ive done almost everything to try and cure the sputtering.

Finally got around to getting my code checked out. Went to Advance Autoparts and they did a diagnostic for me. Code came back as P0171: Bank Lean 2. Or something like that..... Clerk said that I need a new O2 sensor. New OEM one costs 68.00. Is there anyway that can be avoided or I can get one cheaper?

On another note, I think I have a vacuum leak somewhere. Maybe that's causing my minor hesitation issues? How can I go about finding it and fixing it?
