Should work...although you'll need to know the offset to find out if they'll rub or not. Check out the "Wheel/Tire/Suspension" thread for Rishie's Fit Guide. Should be the first post in the thread.

Those are off of a Mazda3 right?

If you are stock, they will fit...Someone here witha 2" drop had major rubbing issues though...

I've got an 1" 1/2 drop

I really like these wheels...

I think the perfect size for the P5 is 205/45/17

Here's another pic:

You might have rubbing issues with people in the back...If you went with a 205/40 you would be a lot better off. Maybe you could sell those tires to offset some of the price??

are those off the 3 ?

also i havent had any rubbin issues with my back rims and i got the teins which is alomst a 1.7 in drop even with people in the back and i have subs i think u should be fine as long as the bolt patter fits which it should

In short yes they will fit. Read on.

I have a stock 02 P5 and just put a set of these on the other day (I assume they are Mazda3 17"s you are talking about). In brief, here is what I found:

The wheels fit. You will need to get new lugnuts as the stock P5 ones do not work so well - the cone needs to have more meat to it. I bought the McGard's from CDN Tire. The tires clear all obstructions inside the wheel wells. After installing, I took the car around a bit and did some "normal" driving. No problems. I even went over the speed bumps at CDN Tire - no problems again.

One issue to consider - the base of the shock towers (the thing that cups the based of the springs). With my stock P5 tires - there was about 1" clearance there. With these wheels - 0.5" - close - but considering that the shocks move with the tires, I am not worried... BTW - the clearance issue is between the top of the tire rubber and the base of the tower (not the inside wall of the tire - clearance is fine there).

In summary - I am happy with the fit, but that's just my opionion. I would recommend you try them on to be sure you are comfortable with the fit. I think that to maintain consistency with car speed and clearance with the shock bases - you would need 40's or 45's on there... With these ones, I have to watch the speedo - when the speedo says 120, the car is doing 130...

Plan on posting pics later.

That was me...

I dont think they will work with any drop of more than 1" unless you plan on never having anyone or anything in the rear of the car. With my 2" drop and only myself in the car they were rubbing like mad in the rear and even in the front on hard braking...

in short, get new tires if you want them...otherwise its just not worth it ;)

deejayspinz, are you dropped at all? They look real nice.

My parents just bought a Mazda3 with 17s and I have P5, hmm late night visit to their driveway, and they'd be none the wiser.. j/k, but I can dream.

My car is stock - no drop.

Hey I want to put the RX8 18" wheels on my P5. Will they fit?
I've seen this question posted before, and I'm 98% sure that the answer is "no". Do a search in P5 forum and the wheels/tires forum and see if you get any matches.

Very well made emblems... They are not just stickers, but have some thickness to them as well.
Thanks for the link, I will have to get a couple. The MP3 had one on the rear only? I didn't think it had it on the side... but it looks good that way, and I might put it on both side and the rear, or just the rear, haven't decided yet.

Don't know if they'll fit, but if they do: when your speedo reads 60, you'll actually be going 64.

look for pics of 03P5's cars. he has them on his black p5. it looks awesome, but his tires are paper thin. a good sized pothole could cause some damage.
