Worlds Loudest bov

Always thought the greddy type S was quite loud. Have heard maurice's bov though as well, and its not bad.

nope, that's their real bov. yes, they do make that stupid NA bov, but they do, or did, make a real one too.

Buses and Semi trucks have some loud ass bovs.
umm those arent blow off valves . . . .

because they dont have a throttle body on desiel's there is no need for a bov

its just a pop-off valve for the air compressor. the Pete's we have at work pop-off at 120psi. and at that pressure it is pretty damn loud. the pop-off is just a tiny little thing too, you'd be surprised how small it is to produce that much sound, but its all about pressure.

hurray for riding in a truck every day and hearing their cough blow off valve cough not one.

Cool good s*** I am going to check it out now thanks for the post!

yellow skyline... i like your sig but correct me if i'm wrong. the issue you're addressing is durring driving, when you shift, it's not really the greddy being greedy. it's kinda that the TB closes and doens't let the motor have ANY air for that minute time. so praise the greddy and boycot the throttle body!

the issue people have with stalling is usually at idle. because at vacuum pressure the stock diverter valve remains open and allows air through and back into the intake continuously instead of expelling it atmospherically. adding a BOV very close to the TB while still maintaining the stock diverter would allow that when the TB closes the air is expelled through the BOV quickly and the remaining continuously circulating air that's before the diverter would still be diverted normally (due to vacuum pressure keeping the stock diverter open) for this all that's needed is to adjust the spring on the BOV so that the spring is harder to keep it slightly closed in case any air gets by the stock diverter and ends up downwind by the new BOV. hence the dual BPV/BOV setup. this is relatively harmless to the motor as long as it's done right and it's really actually a lot of work to get a cool ppssshhhtt sound every time you shift but hey, to each hos own. i rather like the ppssssshhtt.

wow it actually makes sense to me now too
