Winter Tires- Grand Touring with TMPS

Hey gang,

I'm trying to order winter tires online for my 08 Grand Touring on Tire Rack and they want me to spend another $276 for the sensors. Do I need to? Can't I just bolt the winter wheel/tires on the car? Winter coming to chicago!

noob here but:

guess not if but you will have the annoying TPS light on all winter

there is NO beep to the TPMS. Only a light. it will blink for a while and then just stay on. Sometimes it will not come on at all. But, no beep! I dont run them in my winter set up, not worth the money. I wouldnt have them at all if it were up to me. dont worry about them and dont spend the money.
