Winter floor mats ...?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering what everyone is using for WINTER floor mats? Our seasons are changing and it is reminding me that I should probably start looking for decent winter mats. We get quite a bit of snow and I was curious what other more seasoned Mazda5 owners are using, especially those from winter climes. I am looking at the cheap-o ones from your regular automotive stores and the weathertech ones. Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

I'm going to be using the Mazda Accessory ones which I got for under $60 for the first and second rows.

OEM all wheather mats

I use the OEM all wheather mats. Planned to buy the aftermarket ones but noticed that the shape of the front floors are quite irregular. Been happy using the oems since I bought the car last year.

I am also looking for a nice set for my 6. Something that will keep ALL water and snow off of my carpet.

The oems are good just be sure you shake the snow and water out of your feet before you go in. the pockets to hold the water on the oems are a little bit on the small side.

We have the OEM Rubber mats. any more you basically have to have the OEM mats, as a good winter mat needs that lip to keen in the water. I would highly recommend the mazda all-weather mats, as that all we use. I have a pristine set of carpeted mats just sitting in my garage...

I have both the carpeted and all weather floor mats and I rotate them in and out between summer and winter. They are both the OEM style mats and I am very ahappy with both, they are not perfect, but they do the job.

My driver side winter mat has worn through where my right heel rests. Mazda needs to reinforce that area a little better.

The last time I inspected mine, that area was getting thin, but not yet a hole.

The OEM's work fine for me, (rei) , however also on my drivers side mat, the molded hole in the mat that goes over the floormat stay pin has ripped out. Ideally there should be a metal rivet for the pin to go through like there is on the factory carpet floormats. If for some reason I happen to get another set, and the design is still the same, I will glue/silicone a proper sized washer to the underside of the mat where the hole is.
