i just bought my white p5 today and i was wondering if i should get all my windows tinted or just the back half???

any advice would be much appreciated :)

I'd definitly get them all tinted and I would get 35% I know some people like them darker but I'd rather not have to deal with cops over tint and plus, any darker makes it harder to drive at night.

I paid $150 from the passangers doors down. It was like $210 for the whole car, but it's illegal in Cali. I didn't want to risk it.

i already feel the sence of community. i was driving home and another p5 owner nodded to me. zoom zoom! its nice to drive a perfectly designed car for once :)

Check to see if tint is illegal

Different states have different laws. You should check your state's laws on the their department of transportations website. You can also check at this site Screen tint laws Hope this helps

I waved to a RX-7 owner last week and he gave me the finger.

NJ tint laws

NJ tint laws are as follows:

There can be no stickers or tint on the windshield.

Any amount of light transmission through side and rear windows is OK, however the windows cannot have a metallic or reflective appearance.

I just got this off a website, and if i were you and were getting a dark tint, I'd call the state police and see what they have to say. It might save you a ticket in the long run. :D

Sounds like any darkness of tint will go in NJ, just not have the refletive surface. That reflective tint actually makes it harder to see in than any % of "limo" tint.

I like the 35% which isn't to dark but gets lots of complaints from people.total cost for the whole car was just around 170.

i was thinking of getting 35% all around.............does anyone have pics of 35% tint so that i could see what it looks like.

Tint on a black P5?

Hey, it's gettin' HOT down here in Texas and I've got to tint my black '03 soon or die. Should I go with the black or the smoke color? I've got two choices in the type of tint I want. Black tint on a black car can look pretty nice. But what about grey/smoke? Anyone out there with a tinted black P5?

I was under the impression that any tint on the front passenger and driver's side windows is illegal. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, because I'd love to go back and have them tinted. :D
