Window Tint looks Way better

I disagree.

It really depends on the car and color. A red P5 would probably look better with tints, but not a black one. Same goes for white.

There are some cars that Need tinted windows, P5 don't.

European look anyway.

i have a blackp5... got 35% all around... i dont stop getting compliments. If you tint a black car limo, then it looks like a blob. has to be a nice tint... mine is charcoal and made my car look twice as good.

Tint looks better on a car, no matter what the color of the car is. Just as long as you don't use the ugly purple or colored tint. Black tint on a black car is the best anyway. I don't know why you'd think tint on a black car is bad, but oh well. Mine's Silver with dark black tint. I get nothing but compliments and it just looks better period.

I used to like tints just like some of you guys... I like showing my interior and the whole European look.

Most of my cars have been Europeans, and I still go for that look even though I drive Japanese:(

The P5s looks good without tints.

They do look good without tints and I see your point. I, personally, like the fact that no one knows who's inside the Silver P5 at night. In sunny California, you might burn inside without tint though.

white p5 with 35% rear sections and 25%up front(driver and passenger) i personally think that bblack 5's look awesome with a nice tint, but not limo sytle.

I'm pretty sure the majority will say that a tinted car just looks nicer. Go through ANY car brochure and you'll see almost 100% of the pictures are of the car with tinted glass (probably electronically done, but the point is made)

I agree that tint is the way to go. I think the tint should be even all the way around. I dislike the one tint for driver and another for the rear look. I got 20% all around and man it was so claustrophobic the first night. The interior felt so small :p

I disagree once again.

I have a huge collection of car magazine that I've been collecting since I was 15 years old. Most of the newer European car magazines I have show cars with No tints whatsoever. IMO it makes the car look newer, tints older.

Maybe you are used to seing Japanese car magazines with Japanese cars with tints; that might be the look, but I can't comment on that because I'm new to Japanese cars.

I thought about a very, very light black or platinum tint, but I'm not convinced yet. I still like my car without tints, at least for now.

Clear windows gives the car a more racing look to it, since race cars don't have tints.

Look at this P5:

Bella machina!

Just the way it is - no tints:D

i've never thought about whether tint makes a car look better or worse...it's just always been a necessity here in arizona...and i'm damn glad i have it...

I just think tint adds to the sportiness of a car, that silver p5 looks more like a grocery getter, tint the windows, and people will take a second look, course here in MN tinted windows are very uncommon, so maybes it's where you live

BINGO....in the south....I live in Texas....Tint is really NOT an option...just like A/C...its a necessity....

Personally the first cars I have actually had tinted are my P-5s....I have had vehicles which came with factory "privacy glass" but its not as dark as tint.....but I love the tint....it looks good...its functional....and it keeps the "looky loo's" at bay.

I have to agree that tint is definitely a necessity for me. Not only will it keep the interior cooler, but it will keep it from fading and the plastic from becoming brittle. It is also a nice to have at night when SUVs and trucks are bearing down on you, because it blocks some of the glare. And one of the things I like most about tint is the security aspects. If your wife or girlfriend is driving the car at night, a robber or a car jacker is not going to mess with someone that they don't think is an easy target. If you have tint, you won't be as easily visible to others. Plus it keeps those psycho drivers that have a staring problem from looking over. Another good security benefit from tint is that if your window is smashed, it is a lot easier to clean up. The glass will usually be attached to the tint film and not in a million pieces all over the carpet and inside the door panel.

Personally, I installed 20% film all the way around on my protege. It is usually something this is best left to the pros unless you really know what you are doing.

As for purple tint, this is usually what happens when a low quality film is installed and it bakes in the heat for several years. The dyes will fade and you wind up with a purplish color. If you have a high performace or metalized window film installed, this problem is virtually eliminated. An excellent resource for window tinting on the web is www.tintdude.com which covers almost every aspect of window tinting.

well i just got mine done last week

Hey GXL, the pic of the Silver P5 you posted was how my car once looked. I'm glad it's no longer like that. I guess to me, it just looks more luxurious and sleeker. And Mp5racer, much much better. Is that dark tint? Mine's dark all around. Kinda scary at night but looks hella good.

Sorry dude, but your car looks a little rice to me. And it has nothing to do with the tints.

Maybe if it was dropped and remove all those red stickers, it would look a lot better.

For me, no tints on my black P5. Like I said b4, some cars look good/better with tints, some look just fine without.

My wife's MPV looks better with tints, as matter fact, we are going to tint the front windows so it can look all even. Plus it protects the leather seats.

Look at this:

two stickers and he looks like rice? I bet you hate the mp3's too. The only thing MP5Raycer needs to do is drop his car, and it's pretty clean, stickers arent a big deal, they're not huge and take up the whole car.

I'm guessing this a young vs. old thing, granted there are exceptions, but in general... ya
