Will this IC Core fit without cutting?

As the title states, I am looking to make my own intercooler kit and I have found a pretty nice bar and plate core with these dimensions:

24" Wide/9" Tall/3" Thick

I am not looking to replace or modify the bumper supports or anything and I want it to fit without very much trimming of the bumper. Will this IC work? I was trying to base my measurements off of MAM's dimensions which I believe only have it at 6" tall. Thanks for any insight.

i don't believe the 9" tall intercooler is going to fit without the bumper being removed or modified

We had to cut the bumper for my intercooler, it was I think 3.5 inches thick, and around 7 tall. But other than that you'll be okay. We didn't cut that much, maybe half an inch...

Ok so you guys are saying you had to cut the bumper itself, not the support or anything like that right? I am ok with trimming the inside of the bumper as long as it still stays straight and doesn't have any gaps or anything. Also, how do you take the bumper off the car? I looked in the how-to section but I guess it might be so easy that it isn't in there, hahaha. Thanks in advance.

Pop the hood, there should be 2 screws on the upper grill that need to come out, then you need a flathead screwdriver (small) to pop the rivets out... carefull not to break them. Then start on the fenders, there should be a few screws, and rivets that need to be taken out of each side, and there are some 10mm bolts underneath that also need to be taken out. Its fairly simple actually. I had no clue how to take mine off i just kept taking screws and bolts out untill the bumper had enough play in it to just pop off. When you get all the bolts, screws, and rivets out you need to make sure you carefully take the bumper off so that you dont break any of the plastic pins behind it that hold it to the frame.

Thank you very much for the info. I went ahead and bought the core today and should be getting it early next week, I'll take pics when it comes in. My friend fabbed up a cardboard one just to see how much of the bumper it will take up and it should def. fill up the middle opening in the bumper. I'm sure I will have to trim some of the bumper but I think it'll be able to fit.

I hate feeling like I'm bringing bad news...but your going to have to cut your metal bumper support to fit that hoss. you may be able to cut a big notch out of the bottom of your front bumper, but IMO, that defeats the purpose of having an IC that tall. An IC's efficiency is porportional to the airflow that it sees. Maybe 4.5 of the the 9 inches will be seen through the grill..............http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123616784&page=3

UPDATE: We mounted the IC yesterday just to test fit it and it looks amazing. We did have to mangle the metal bumper support but my friend who is doing the piping is going to put some extra support to it just to make it as strong as possible. The only trimming of the bumper needed was to remove the middle grill in the bumper and cut the bars off, it was pretty easy. Hopefully I'll have some pics soon, gotta find a pic hosting site. Piping should be coming in a day or two and then that is going to be fun I'm sure (Sarcasm).
