Ok
I got my self some Venture shield clear bra products and I plan on installing them myself. I know I know, I should have a pro do it blah blah blah.

The install video says to used 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner and glass cleaner.

While after searching home depot, Autozone, CAP, Advanced auto parts, and 2 local hardware stores, I am convinced this stuff does not exist.

I want to do this by the book, so it comes out well. But I can't find the cleaner anywhere.

I was able to find 3M Adhesive and Wax remover which is almost the same thing (i think?) the only issue it says "Will not harm MOST cured automotive paints" Key word being MOST,

The other product I found was another glass cleaner, by Trouble Free (is that a brand?).

Check out the photo below any thoughts on these products? Should I hold out till i find the right stuff? Could I use something like Goo gone instead of the adhesive remover?

If not, anyone know where I could find the two 3M products recomended?

Thanks

-Pete

yes you can during the actual installation but it says to use the stuff mentioned above to prep it and clean it before hand plus the alcohol/water solution

to me it feels like the main problem will be due to your prepping. all that rubbing and cleaning might positively charge your paint due to static and whatnot, and then any kind of airborne dust or whatever is going to stick to your car like crazy.

i know when i painted my bike i used some "tack cloth" in the paint booth before i started painting to remove any kind of partical. im not sure if that will work for your project.

no since i am trying to get the fiml to adhere i want to remove any oils, grease, tar, etc etc, hence the adhesive cleaner. The glass cleaner is then used to remove the adhesive cleaner so it will not prevent the final product sticking to the car. Static charge will not be much of a problem, especially if the rag is wet (physics 102). Besides im doing this per the directions, that is to say it actually says to do these steps and use these products in the instructions that came with the venturshield.
