Will the p5 suspension fit in the mp3

:
02 Mazda P5
I have my p5 on the basic tien coilover suspension and wanting to know if this will fit the mp3. I know for sure the front will fit, but is the rear the same. Im asking because there is a mp3 in my area for sale and might end up getting it and swapping over the suspension if it works out. Any help please, thank you

I have the msp setup with eibach map springs on my p5. And the stock p5 stuff in the msp to keep it as a roller. I think p5 struts are much longer but it all bolts up fine. Msp could prob go offroad with stock p5 stuff lol.
My p5 sits pretty well on the msp stuff.

tein coilovers are the same for ALL 3rd gen protege, protege5, MP3, and MSP.

It may just look silly, MSPs are just lower from factory :)

Ok, just came back from seeing the mp3, i like it but......

Rust!!!!!!!!!
Not much rust in engine bay, manily surface rust. The passenger side did have a rust spot neear the side of the engine mount where the strut is. Driver door on the inside bottom has rust, interior was clean just needs new shift knob. Dont like the seat pattern matching the door panels. Rear wells have been replaced, e-brake cable is snapped, engine runs good, shifts good, struts are blown. How bad is the weather in washington compared to other citys.

Its the salt that kills cars, not the weather.

If I showed you pictures of my cars, you would probably think that MP3 is in mint condition.

The seats and door panels are the best part of the MP3! I don't know if it's worth saving, depends how bad the rust is. I say fix it.

Got any pics? and MP3/MP3 seats are notorious for ripping/cracking as well as worn out steering wheel and shift knob - Mine was the same when i bought it with 90k miles. Replaced it with some good condition msp seats, p5 steering wheel, and a weighted shift knob.

As for coilovers any application will be interchangeable for the sedan/msp/mp3/p5

Can I take the front suspension support crossmember thing from a 2002 protege to replace my rusted out piece in my 2003 speed?

Everything to do with the frame is the same. Brake calipers/brackets, struts/springs are different sku but 100% bolt on with no special installation.
Exhaust is actually the same too. Different midpipe and axle back but resonated s pipe is the same...

Everything to do with coilovers is the same. You might need adjustable endlinks for the rear though as I belive the msp/mp3 have higher bracket on strut.

successful dive.

Can I use the rear subfram with arms off the p5 and swap it in the mp3, and also can I use the rear knuckles as well or are the different in the rear.

Ok, i am now a proud owner of a 2001 mp3 blue in color. Now its time to swap all parts over the from the p5 to the mp3. I just replaced the cv axles on the p5 which is automatic, can i switch those to the mp3 and move the mp3 axles to the p5.

The only problem I see is that you are trying to interchange ATX and MTX axles which I do not think will work.

Lets see some pictures of the car!

you may have a small issue running the rear protege5 subframe on with the MP3 rear sway bar. the bushing brackets are slightly bigger on the MP3, and will not bolt right up tot he protege5 subframe.
