Will the Cobb oiled filter be an issue?

I know intakes have been beaten to death(deadhorse but try to help me out. So this is my issue. I ordered the Cobb SRi and of course its on backorder, but only about 2 weeks. Searching around I saw the BEGI airbox for the same price. I want to go with the Cobb, but then I heard that the filter is oiled and can mess up the MAF.

So for those of you with Cobb SRIs, what, if anything, have you done to clean your MAF or avoid these issues? I've heard use a dry filter, any good companies?

stick with the cobb you'll be fine. Even the K&N drop-in are oiled filters. Just when you clean and re-oil your filter don't put to much oil on the filter. Follow the directions and spay light coats of it on the filter about 4-5 inches away and do it in clean swipes, same principles as spay painting, you don't want any run off or uneven coverage. The oils are usually colored so you will know what areas you have covered. Then let it dry as per the instructions. If you follow everything correctly you will not have any oil on your MAF.

In an event that your MAF has some oil on it. Just remove and clean with alcohol, thats what i did with my BMW. I dipped it in and let it soak for a bit and then cleaned with q-tip. The MAF is a very sensitive sensor so use caution, i recommend looking online on how to clean your MAF for a better idea.

I have the Cobb and it is lightly oiled. You deffinatly will not have any issues until you clean and re-oil it. I think the BeGi uses a K&N so that would be oiled as well.

You can also get the Amsoil dryflow filter with the Begi box.

Either way like others have said if you follows the instructions when you clean and re-oil your filter you shouldn't have an issue
