Will Ethanol Hurt the Duratec Engine?

My new CX-9 has the 3.7L V6 Duratec engine so can too much ethanol damage it? I have read several articles which point to new EPA regulations forcing oil companies to up the amount of ethanol in their blends with the potential of crippling small engines and even those of cars.

I've read the same thing, and it's going to be a disaster, starting with your fuel system.

Too much will Definately hurt. Running e85 in an engine not designed for it will cause a lean mixture and I imagine catastrophic failure is inevitable.

I am encouraged that modern computerized engines can compensate for the higher temperatures that may be related with burning higher ethanol gasoline. It may not be as bad as some think for cars made after 1990.

Unless the injectors in the vehicle are large enough to run an additional 25% fuel through them over what unleaded fuel uses and the ecu can adjust for it there will be damage. Do manufacturers do this on all vehicles? I have no idea but I'm not going to find out.
