Wideband/ Emanage Help!!!!

I'm getting ready to order my Emanage. I've got the Greddy A/F gauge which seems to be accurate but isn't wideband. My question is, if I get JUST a wideband sensor for my existing gauge will it work? Also does the wideband hook up to the Emanage or is it just recomended to tune it. Any answers/comments would be greatly appreciated!
 
i have the e-manage and E-01 waiting to be installed, and I'm looking into the AEM wideband, but from what I've read it will only plug into the AEM EMS. And from reading and searching it is a good investment to go ahead and get one!
 
A wideband sensor is not enough, you need a wideband controller to interpret the wideband sensor signal. It gets expensive. Let me know if you find any good deals.
 
My problem is that I'd like to keep my Greddy (I had to cut my gauge pod to make it fit) but I don't know if I can just get a wideband o2 sensor. I'm sure you don't have to have the AEM ems to use their wideband. I thought about getting the AEM ems for my car but the guy I talked to said that it would be close to $1800 to $2000 to get everything needed.(eek2)

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be selling my Greddy (awesome unit) and getting the AEM. I've got a decent hook for AEM parts.
 
I'm not sayig you have to have the AEM engine management system though. I'm not sure how the greddy works, if it can do autotuning from a wideband sensor or not. If not, then you could still tune it manually by reading out ona wideband guage and adjusting your maps by hand. It's just that there is more to a wideband than just a sensor. It should cost about 400-500 for a wideband. The $50 sensor is only part of it.

Sorry, I should have specified, in brealmp3's post he had stated that he thought that you had to have the AEM Engine Management System for the AEM wideband to work.
 
whether or not the greddy has an input for a wideband is another question. I have no idea about that.
 
trash the greddy one you have its useless :D order the AEM Uego from Beau at Mental Addition he is selling them for 350 you wont get them anywhwere else for that price.

The uego has an 5v output that can plug into the emanage, here is a tool that will allow you to datalog with the emanage, no thanks to those useless punks at greddy. I have not tried it yet but it looks good, I am going to try it on mine this weekend.

and no you dont need the whole AEM setup the, AEM Uego gauge has the controller built into the gauge and it also has the WB 02 sensor
 
It's nice to have one that does logging. This way you don't have to keep and eye on the gausge and an eye on the road. Just take the car out do some driving, go home and see where it's lean and where it's rich.

Hmm, after reading this again, I can't tell if you are talking about ditching the greddy EMS or just the greddy a/f gauge. Oh well, i'm done here.
 
no you don't have the aem for the wideband to work, but unless you get the wideband controller you would need the aem ems to use the wideband. sorry for not being specific
