as the title states, i hate racoons. why, because such a dirty animal is a painfull and expensive lesson to learn to avoid at all costs. travelling down a dark road with these things around is unsafe.

the one i tagged im pretty sure decided to run head on into my car.

Damn son, how big was that racoon... Err, maybe you were just going relatively fast. Did a fair amount of damage for something that small. I took out a goose last summer, it flew into my windshield and bounced off the passenger side of it... It was weird. You gonna get that stuff fixed?

I'm not sure about the racoons you've come across, but I've encountered some big sonsabitches. LOL. The one that's always running around here at work is easily the size of a medium-sized dog (easily 40lbs). That's big enough to do some serious damage imo.
Sorry to hear about it though.

Fair enough, here in the ghetto of downtown cincinnati, the racoons couldn't weigh more than 25-30 lbs. They don't give a f*** about humans tho. Haha they will sit their eating your trash with you standing next to them holding a baseball bat :D

That blows man, Hope you get that fixed up, the worse I ever hit in my MSP is a Deer... It was dead wnad i was going 70 on the highway at 1 AM, ran it RIGHT over lol. But didnt do any damage besides bent the S*** out of the heatshield above my Cats.

haha yea, was just tooling around and managed to pop most of it back into place, its just loose up at the top of the bumper where it meets the hood. gotta replace the front grill and i can live with the crack in the lip for now.

on a side note, yes the racoon was huge lol. hopefully i can live with the bumper for a while, just kinda hoped he took out the other side and did some damage to the intercooler so i could replace it lol.

thanks for the condolences haha

as far as that deer goes..nice lol. i dislike highway driving at night for this reason, im always watching the sides of the roads for something... poor guy pretty much made eye contact too right before he went under lol.

Actaully I was on a back road not to long ago, and i came around this tight bend and i had to SLAM on my breaks cause there was a Raccoon sitting in the middle of the road.... haha Sat there for a good 30 seconds untill he got up and moved lol, Raccoons are evil@!!!!!!

Dude - Retardooon's are most annoying in Ontario!!

Road kill is the worse in southern Ontario x3. I have yet to hit such a creature - luckily are cars are fairly nimble and can quickly dodge nuisances such as freakin coons.

I was at my buddies house the other day, and a raccoon came charging at me during the afternoon - i wish i had my .22 BOOM!!

I feel your pain dude. I hit a mailbox over the winter. Damn thing dented in my front passenger side fender. Went by later in the day and they had it duct taped back up haha.

I feel your pain bro. A week after my buddy got his 08 R32 we hit one going about 40. to make a long story short we had to replace the bumper and pull what was left of it outta the under carrage.

ugh, raccoons...

my grandfather hit one on the highway when i was a kid, in his old escort wagon (94?). apparently it *snapped* the passenger side tie rod clean off... those suckers get pretty big! thankfully everyone was OK, except the raccoon of course...

Wow! LOL. Got me laughing good. Now it would be really bad if u hit a mailbox that had a raccoon in it :) Double kill.

I know its late but you got off pretty cheap.... I hit a coon doing 70 and caused aroudn 1.8k worth of damage! It busted a few bumper mounting tabs, log a fog delete, busted both grill mounting tabs on the headlights, cracked lip, busted grill mouns where it sticks into the core support. Now my tabs that bgot itno the headlights stick out a little. But for the most part we have pretty much the same damage.. my lip was even cracked in the same general area!. So did you end up fixing it yourself?

haha, most of it popped back into place, top bumper tabs are still loose and i still i have the cracked lip and hole in my grill. i would say, yea, yours looks a tad more severe. i really dont think the world has a place for racoons.

We should just start putting trash cans in the woods so it saves them the walking distance and worrys for our cars.
