sorry for the meaningless thread, but i've got to vent.

1. i've been here 2 months...i was hired to do billing, now everyone thinks i'm their secretary.

2. we "don't have the money" to hire a secretary, so we've all split-up the duties...which is fine...but...

3. our owner went from 70k/yr to 100k a year...oh it gets better

4. her husband...that comes up here to sign off on our time cards...and take the mail once a week went from 1500/mo to 100k/yr

5. her son that comes up here to vacuum, take the trash, etc. just got a raise to 10/hr (he spent 2 days up here last week scanning in family photos while on the clock) + 300/mo

6. we pay for a house in savannah (1300/mo) that may be used once ever 2 months

7. she drives a mini, a bmw 3 series and her husband just bought a crown vic

8. she tried to get me to sign something stating if i left in a year, i would pay them back for any training i went to...needless to say, i told them no.

9. this place is about 4 people short of what it takes to run it...but "we don't have the money" to hire anyone.

10. our male general manager cannot make a decision on his own...she gets him to do all the bad stuff to us so she looks good...and his ring-tone is "barbie girl"

if they can't provide a decent work envorionment in a week, it's time to move on. if you quit, maybe they'll realize that they will be screwed. it sounds like they're only looking out for themselves. you've got to do the same.

Quit complaining, search job listings while you continue to work there, and get a new job. Screw them by not giving a two-weeks notice (you only worked there for 2 months, so who cares?)

these people won't realize that...this company has been open a whole 5 years...the longest someone here as been with them is 2 years...and after that, 5 months...THAT should tell them something.

hell, we were promised to have insurance by june 1st...but "we can't afford it"

...luckily, i have insurance through my wife's job...but no one else here has any. that's pretty ******* bad.

lol...if it were that simple. don't get me wrong, i'm going to look...but being married/kids...i can't just quit somewhere and work at autozone...i've got to net a certain amount to pay the bills

this sounds like a company that my wife used to work for. it is family owned and operated. they did not give a s*** about their employees and treated them like children. they were like nazis. they would fire people for no reason and have the biggest turnover rate i have ever seen. it's really sad that some companies just don't give a s*** as long as the family is making money. needless to say my wife left that hellhole.

just start searching for a better job and tough it out there until you find something. no one should have to work at a place like that.

keep looking, you will eventually find a job that will not work you to death, give you insurance, and pay decent money. For some odd reason, I noticed that "rich" or I should say "wealthy" people are always the cheapest........not sure why, but for some odd reason its always like that!

Yeah, but keep looking and when you find a job, quit without a 2 weeks notice. They can go **** themselves!!

And if anything, you can do what I did, become a chip & dale dancer or prostitute. it pays the bills!!! Way better than a full time job! (kidding, just trying to lighten the mood)

I just started a new job that is very challenging and I don't like it. It pisses me off because this is the first great paying job Iv'e had and I hate it. I don't want to quit because of the money and everyone will wonder why the hell I threw away the job. I really would like to just find some easy ass 35k a year job and push buttons or some s***. Yeeeah.

If you're not happy, I suggest you have a talk with your boss. If he/or she cannot help then you might want to seriously consider quiting- but don't do so unless you have another job lined up.

I just started a new position a few months ago and to be honest with you I hated it. In fact, I think I came on here bitching about it haha. Anyhow, I talked it over my boss...actually, she wasn't my boss rather the woman training me and we worked it out. I now have an assistant and a $2.50 raise per hour.
