Why Does CX-5 Change Artist Name?

:
2020 CX-5
I'm listening to a MP3 audio book by Robert Galbraith (pen name of Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling when she writes mystery novels) As you can see in the attached file, the audio system in my '16 with Bose has changed the author's name to Robert Crais, who I think is a musician of some stripe. This has happened before to audio books; the author's name gets to changed to a musician with the same first name. The correct names appear when I open the files in iTunes.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can stop it?

Thanks.

Both the Mazda audio system and iTunes are just retrieving information saved within the audio book file. It seems that each is reading a different field to get the artist name, which have different names in them. iTunes has the ability to view and modify some of these fields (I believe its the "Get Info" option, but I haven't used iTunes in years), I would check to see if iTunes shows any fields which have the name you do not expect to see. If you don't see the incorrect name, you'll likely need to get a different application to view all of the fields stored in the file.

Robert Crais
mystery/detective type of books
quite well done - old style of PI getting the job done when the cops can't

Well it's getting the name somewhere, but definitely not from this MP3 audio, which would not contain that name. I've never listened to a book by Mr. Crais (though I might--sounds like my kind of author), so his name is not on my computer. I also don't think iTunes did it as it reports the correct author's name. In other instances it has substituted the correct author's name with the name of a musician with same first name of the author. I suspect the audio system is checking some database via my connected phone, but i can't find an option to disable that function. Career of Evil is a very new release and may not yet appear in all databases.

Get the program MP3Tag. You can see all the tags, regular and extended.
Probably different names in Track Artist and Album Artist.

MP3Tag only runs under Windows and I use OS X. I just put the file in iTunes again and the author continues to be correctly identified. This seems definitely something the Mazda audio system is doing.
