Who's the fastest?

I hope you are talking MPH and not KMH....

I was on a road trip to vegas and brought my car to almost 190kmh. no governer crap, the car wanted to go faster but I was thinking that some Nevada cop would just love to beat down this poor canadian kid in the sporty car with his badge, gun and club.... so I didn't push it anymore.

Besides, I really don't want to have a car with a huge top speed - I would be VERY happy with a car that got up and made it to 100kmh fast

Our car has a governor? Someone told me that it didn't. Are you sure?

I wasn't sure if we had a governor, but I didn't think so? And for the car to "shut off" at 130 is not what a governor should be doing. All a governor should do is cut out a cycle of the injectors, so no fuel is combusted, and your car may start to buck with the tach bouncing all over. If your car shuts off, you should talk to the dealer about that! That is damgerous, plus driving 130 is damgerous to begin with. No matter how good you think our car is, it IS NOT meant to be or designed to drive @ 130 mph.

LostMind, that's right under 120mph. About 118 to be exact, which the car is far more capable of. Probably more like 130mph (210kmh). After that, it's probably cause you're going downhill.

I'm gonna stay away from 120 mile per hour speeds. My friend fliped his car end over end 6 times a couple weeks ago and died.

um yeah thats in american speed mph not kmh or what ever funky crap you guys read... anyways yeah what ever it is it kills all power and etc to the car so you can go any faster i have done it in may cars i've done it in a 1991 jetta at 125...and then in a 2001 pontiac sunfire, and honda delsol....all have done the same thing.....

I hit just over 175mph in my last car... hope my P5 can live up to that...well at least I can get my golf clubs into the P5...that's almost as good as doing 175, right?

I'll say that I just got my but handed to be by a nice lookin' Eclipse. I think it was a GSX, it was in the dark so I couldn't tell. It had an exhaust and I could hear the intake. He took off.........

Slightly modified Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo. Custom 3in exhaust(no cats), boost controller, k&n (custom ram-air kit), eibach springs. Just got new tires and thought what the hell. The speedo was probably alittle optimistic at 175, but it was over 170 for sure. Wheel weight flew off at about 160 and hit the fender well....I thought it was the sound barrier...hehe. I have a witness that was in the passenger seat. It ran 12.9 in the 1/4 cranking out 18psi on the autometer gauge. Oh how I miss not being a student. By the way my white P5 gets picked up tomorrow. P.S. Sorry to hear about the friends and family that were killed speeding. That could've been me several times over.

118mph was plenty fast. anybody that wants faster needs to get their head examined or get on the track.. or both. ;p
