Basically, like many of you I'm sure, I can't stand that pocket they gave us under our stereos... I breifly entertained the idea of selling this HU and "upgrading" to a double din... but soon realized it wouldn't be wise since I most likely wouldn't be able to get anything decent for this kenwood. Anyways!!!
finally got the pocket out... and it's stayin out!! will most likely sit in my basement for eternity unless someone (for some reason) wants it! damn thing just makes too much noise!!! I hate NVH issues!!! (should've broke the bank and got a beemer I know!)
So I'm thinkin... I've got a boost gauge... mounting in in that spot (or even better... movin the HU down a notch and putting the gauge up top) would be sweet... I've seen some people do this... thing is, they have like 3 gauges... i don't need 3 gauges!! at least... I don't think I do!! more importantly, with the first one costing me like 50 bucks... spending another 100 on gauges i don't really need.. but fill up the 2 remaining holes is retarded.
Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I can do here????
Perhaps some of you have already done something similar... if so... please share some pics and insight on the topic.
some ideas that quickly went through my head... an anolog clock (like the ones found in infinitis) might be a cool/unique touch... (instead of those aforementioned air/fuel and oil gauges I find unnecessary) ... just not a hardcore racer!! I was also thinkin about molding a turbo timer into the encasement....
alright, excuse the 'fragmentation' of this... just spent another hour learning photoshop... my mind's a bit numb!! gonna go watch some tivo'd springer now... that ougtta relax me! Thanks in advance
