I have the CPE EMS ive had mine for about 2 months. I can say it makes the
car so much better. Holds boost up to redline with no loss of power before I
lost power after 5000 rpms. And Im able to hold boost about 17psi. I can say

Does that mean you're boosting 17 psi final or that you're actually boosting around 19 psi?

I drove MS6Mike's yesterday...he got the updated version jsut a few days back and now the car pulls even harder, its just fckin crazy. I dont know his set up but it was holding 17psi steady all the way to 6500...hell i purposely let it go a bit passed the redline and it was STILL holding--just insane. It does have more turbo lag...that s*** is like a freakin evo....*nothing* *nothing* .....*WHIPLASH!!!!*

yea i dont understand why i get added turbo lag
but it does feal awesome once it reach boost! i actually like it better this way! (bowdown)the CPE beta version 1.6 rules!!!!!!!! make sure you upgrade ! i will be geting the cpe FMIC this monday so it will be nice to see how the lag will change.

well the thing whit me is that my advance boost setings are changed over the phone with Lou! so i reach boost like not like an on off switch, but i am boosting 17 psi at 7,000 rpm from like 4,000 rpm! well i am done with the CPE FMIC install and i will go to try it right now! ill have tons of info and pics tomorrow, take care!
damn CP-E already has the FMIC too? I need to freaking catch up........ *shakes fist @ MAZDA NA* Blast ye and your crummy warranties....... (too scared to mod while under warranty if this crap brakes due to a defect and NOT from one of my mods, but mazda won't see it that way....(jerkit))

yes the gains are quite similiar, with a few benefits in the cp-e ems. one being you don't need to run recirc on your BOV, and another that has to do with the way it controls your boost level. but nothing too major, all in all its a DIY tuner just like the xede.
but if $999 is not in your budget then i don't think you'll be satisfied with cp-e's ems either.
because there PnP isn't going to be much cheaper, if any. after they tack on another $200-$400 just for a plastic connector to make it PnP.
and then most likely an additional price increase when they finally gain control of the throttle plate, and release their updated version to solve that major issue.
...guess they got caught up in the money, and want to make sure they charge as much as the xede. only they don't come out upfront and say it like the xede did. as its always been $1k
