I have a whirring noise when the clutch is out in neutral. when i push the clutch in it goes away. im thinking its a throwout bearing. the car has 34k miles and im the second owner. Will the warranty cover a throwout bearing?

i have the same whinning sound coming from mine and i have 38k on the car. I believe it is the throwout bearing but not to sure. I have a clutch at the house waiting to go on and if it is the bearing then it is getting replaced because clutch kits come with new bearings. So if that fixes it i will post it up. But if a bearing has gone bad they might replace it but all they have to say is that you have been dropping the clutch and its normal wear and tear.

Any word on this? I noticed mind doing the same thing a couple of days ago. The car is getting close to 45000km.

i dunno if the other guy did his clutch yet. but i am taking my msp to mazda on monday to see what is up. i definitely sounds like a throwout bearing and is a fairly loud whirring noise. hopefully they will replace it under warranty as i still have 6 months left on the clutch warranty. They should replace it under warranty, i just bought the car like a month ago and it has been making the noise ever since.

I talked to a girl i know that owns a yellow msp and she said she just had her clutch replaced, i dont know the miles on her car but she bought hers brand new, and she drives it like it was meant to be driven. ill let you know whats up when i find out. maybe i can get it replaced by friday, and i can take it out the the dragstrip.
