i've been considering starting off with like 2 of these Nankang NS-2's, they are the highest reviewed tire on tiretest.com at a great price.

(i know they are 205's as opposed to 215's, its only a centimeter in width, thats the closest i found in that model)

im using falken azenis 215 in front 225(because I have wider rear wheels) on the back, not a fan. Nitto is a good brand though, I really like their stuff.

I'm running Dunlop Direzza DZ101 stock size I love them great grip not loud on the street a great tire at a great price. I wanted the star spec series ones but they didn't have them in stock and I was on 2 flats so I couldn't wait.

Been running on Potenza RE-760's this year and have not found anything I dont like so far. $660 mounted and balanced was the deciding factor on these as the other tires I was looking at were $1000 or more.

215/35/18 was the size I ran, since I was on 18" x 7.5" wheels. Think they cost about $130 each.

I still have one Fuzion ZRi on my MSP. I loved those; for the price they were much better than the stock RE040. Right now I have 3 Primewell PZ900s; I can only recommend that you set them on fire if you are freezing to death. They have no business ever being installed on any type of sporty car.

yeah i got 3 FUZION's and 1 Primewell right now, trade u my prime for ur fusion(naughty).
um been autox'ing so the fusionz got a beating last weekend, just feel like they skid all the time.

running toyo proxes4 205/50/16. i love the grip! they wear very quickly tho for me. that may be cause i run alot of camber up front, or that i tend to drive aggressive more often than not. i get about 3500-4500 miles out of them.
this is when i was running 195/45/16 i didnt like the gap so i went wider and taller

this is 2 months and a trip from VA to CO and back. soo they did see alot of miles with no rotation. fail.

I prefer the Toyo Proxes 4's...great traction, especially in rain. I easily get 25K+ miles out of a set(but I do have my alignment setup as a plain Protege & my handling does not suffer). They are very quiet and ride well. The Toyo FZ4's are not bad either. No complaint about the NeoGen's, just don't last as long as the Toyo's. Hankook makes a good tire too. Never had a decent set of Falken tires.

Crappie 10 yaer old Dunlops right now. Soon tobe Nitto for the track and toyo proxes4 for the DD. I had toyos before and loved them.

Nitto NeoGen 215x45x17 , 2yr and counting with over 25k miles on them and this will be my 3'd winter with them, I'm impressed and like them for performance/$$ , I'd recommend these to anyone.

I have been running The BFG G-Force KDW 215-45-ZR17, amazing grip, I would say the grip outclasses the stock suspension, so now I am looking to upgrade to coilovers, and potentially bigger sway bars. Wet traction awesome (when there is any tread left), Never drive in the cold (Bay Area, CA), Can't hear the tires over my motor mounts and exhaust, and I put new tires on the back every 5k, and move the rears to the front.
One quick question, why would somebody buy one of the best handling production cars ever built, then put a set of the worst tires ever made on that same car? It is akin to ordering a steak and only eating the garnish. The MSP is not economical, practical, or convenient, when originally sold, it was head and shoulders above anything on the market in terms of handling, trying to make it something it is not seems counterproductive. Feed and care of sports cars is an expensive endeavor, if you don't have the desire to pay the price, they made the Protege`5 for you.

Currently running the Hankook Ventus RS-2s, 245/45/16 front, 225/45/16 rear. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. For the money, you're better off going to a Bridgestone RE-01 or Dunlop Direzza Star Spec unless you drive in a LOT of rain. Wear is OK considering they're a Max Performance summer tire, road noise is higher than low, but not unbearable.

I love my Hankook V12 EVo's super quiet, nice and grippy, and handle wet weather really well....
