Which tire should I get?

Ok, in the next couple of months I'm going to be fully upgrading my suspension, pretty much everything I can think of, including braking and rims & rubber. The wheels I'm going to get are 17" Bronze Rota Attacks...Only thing is I dont know what brand/type of tire to choose, there are so many and Ive tried looking up reviews, just not much out there. Wanting something that will handle very well, dry and wet, and not go through them so fast. I do have a limited choice of the brands that my supplier carries:
BF Goodrich
Continental
Dunlop
Falken
Goodyear
Hankook
Kumho
Michelin
Nitto
Pirelli
Yokohama

Any input would be helpful, thanks guys. (thumb)

I have Michelin Pilot Primacy tires, and they are fantastic. They are fairly quiet and have very good wet and dry grip. I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability.

Yokohama Parada-Spec 2 is what I've had for three years. Just put on my second set. They are a great tire in the Dry, Better in the Rain.

Yea, I was looking into the Parada 2s or the Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S...just dont know, just gauging opinons :D

Pirelli PZero Nero M&S will give you the longest wear (because it's an all season rubber compound). I've got the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s on my car now and have absolutely no complaints about them. The Michelin Pilot Primacy are good tires, but they're more in between maximum performance and quiet/comfort (maybe that's what you're looking for?).

I actually found reviews over at Tirerack.com, The Eagle GSD3s are one of the top rated tires...but damn are they expensive...I also saw reviews for the Pirelli PZero Nero, which was two slots down from the Eagle GSD3. Also the Pirelli Nero M&S was rated the best Ultra High Performance for All Season. I can get a good deal on those, so I might be going Pirelli.

If you're looking to save money and still get a good tire, the Falken ZE512 isn't a bad tire either.

i am deciding on either the pirelli pzero nero or toyo proxes 4. both have great ratings the proxes 4's are quite a bit cheaper for me.

try www.1010tires.com for more rating info and to help your decision.

I just bought the Falken 386's from Les Schwab and I love them so far. Only about 200 miles or so in the past 3 weeks, but I do like them. Handling is great wet or dry. I had them "siped" too.

I personally love the spec2's. great all around performance and great treadlife. I am buying another set in a week or 2 cause mine have flat spots on them cause someone cut me off and I slid for some distance.

Yokohama AVS ES 100's. Excellent performance, wet or dry, and fairly quiet for a performance tire.

I researched this for like 2 hours on the Tire Rack site yesterday and came up with the following as my choices:

#1 - Avon Tech M500 ($87)
#2 - Yokohama AVS ES100 ($81)
#3 - Fuzion ZRi ($73)
#4 - Sumitomo HTR Z II ($74)
#5 - Kumho Ecsta 711 ($53)

My rankings are based on the Tire Rack test results, reviews and ratings for these tires. I have dedicated snow tires so I looked only at summer tires for Max, Ultra High and High Performance. I am cheap so $100/tire was my limit.

The prices above are Tire Rack prices for my 16" size (I had to use 205/50R16 to increase my options as the stock 195/50R16 is not made by many tire manufacturers). Summary ratings are at:

Ultra High Performance Summer (best performance/price for me):
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=UHP

Max Performance Summer (too pricey, but great performance):
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=MP

High Performance Summer (trade off in performance but great prices):
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=HP

Good luck in your choice and let us know what you pick.

I'm probably going for the Pirelli's as well. I am going to mount some snows on my 16s when that comes around, but I like having ultra high performance all seasons vs. summer only ultra/high performance.

upon further review I have narrowed it to the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 and the Pirelli Pzero nero M&S
