Which kind of horn to get?

:
2003 Mazda Protege LX/MP3 Wannabe
Well since we all know the Pro has a roadrunner sound to the horn, I have started looking for a replacement. I have heard of two good brands Fiamm and Hella. I hear both have a euro sound, similar to a "Ferrari." I havent been able to find any sounds clips to listen to this myself, just wondering for those of you who have installed aftermarket horns if you have any sounds clips so that it would help my with my purchase.
Thanks

Gotta go with the Dukes of Hazzard horn!

I rarely see ferraris...and of those rare occurances, I have never heard one honk it's horn.

i have some Fiams horns, littles(about 6 inch each)red, sounds exactly like a ferrari, beleive me i had some fun with thoses...and the best thing,i plugged them in parallel with my 2 ways alarm systems siren........hahahaha(omg)

I had a 348 spider almost hit me and got to hear the horn up close, sounds very cool. I'm thinking about it :)

Second one looks great. Good thread to keep track of. Our horns sound like crap.

i like the sound of our's but sometime's it start's fading and pisses me off

subb's for sound's

I replaced my water damaged fiamm big boss with a wolo "long horns" from pep boys for $30. they are the same thing but the wolo has a few extra plastic pieces for better fitment. Here's the sound file on wolo's site which is accurate in tone: http://www.wolo-mfg.com/417.wav
Observers' first impressions were... "sounds like a mack truck!"

As for the loudness... well they're loud enough to make the dogs in the neighborhood go apeshit. :)

where do you put those... the stock possition is not big enough and i have height issues (FMIC pipe)

I've got the Hella air horns with the orange trumpets. I like 'em 'cause they're loud and do sound like a Ferrari. Other people make fun of 'em though 'cause of the high pitch. Whatever- they're way louder and better sounding than stock. The miata.net has a write up of how to install them on a Miata in their "garage" section. I took that theory and applied it to the P5. Works well for me!
You'll also find that they're making more compact, and easier to install "snail shell" type trumpet horns now, too. I found them in the Griot's Garage catalog. Pretty cool.
