JCell said:...on GT4, u have to use it on those 24 hour races, don't u? i know forza has endurence races, but i don't know how long those r yet...
I think 22k for tires is pretty cheap. Think about if you raced the car in real life in a competitive circuit how much tires for one season would cost.shaneMazda2000P said:one thing i dont get about gt4 though... who in the hell would pay 22k for tires
CommieSpeed said:Im all set with GT4. I hate the way it controls compared to Forza, and the physics engine is not nearly as advanced. GT4 calculates 40something times per second, where as Forza does 250something per second. I hate how the Physics engine s**** the bed sometimes, Ill take a turn the same way 500 times and one of those times Ill completely spin out for no reason, having nothing to do with tire wear. And nobody say I suck at GT games, **** you, I've played everyone all the way through except for 4, which I have at 40something percent. PLus the lack of online play and the INEXCUSABLE graphical glitch that makes it look like s*** on my TV will make sure I never touch it again. Oh, and If GT4 is so realistic, why are the 400m times so rediculously out of wack? Oh my 400hp car runs a 16.9?!? Come on.
JCell said:how long r they, r they really 24 hours?
JCell said:well i've played forza for a good 10-12 hours now and i'm about 28% done in carrere and 17% done in arcade, so i guess GT4 is longer...a lot longer
what i don't like about GT4 is that the computer can drive for u, true that u can do that in forza as well, but in forza the computer has to be trained first...

novAKs47 said:I like gt4, but I like Forza even more. Here's where Forza beats GT4 : BRAKING. In gt4, I can take any car, with any brake set up, and stop on a dime. Were's the realism in that? In Forza, if I brake as late as I do in gt4, then I can enjoy sliding way off course. Also, in gt4, there's no sliding of any kind. I should be able to toss my 700hp '69 mut around some corners dammit! If I floor it, it sould break loose, not just plow forward like a brick. In gt4, all the cars are nothing more than mobile bricks. If by some chance you do manage to break 'em loose, they just loop around on you. It's either that, or severe understeer. Also, the power to weight ratio has always been absurd in the gt series. An original 60's mini cooper(not in gt4, lame), with 160hp should frickin' haul ass. But no. It barely moves. ?!!!! And it won't corner for crap either. Rediculous. I've been in an original mini, and that thing was a frickin' slot car on the mtn road. Again, I still like GT4, but it's just not THAT realistic. All the cars just handle to similarly.
toucci said:The jittering is because V-sync is turned on (the framerate is locked at 60 hz, without triple buffering), and it's an interlaced signal. So only half the screen gets updated at 30 fps. To fix this problem, they would have had to disable V-sync which would cause graphical glitches and possibly inhibit unknown features of the engine designed to function with the frame rate cap, figure out a system to scale the LOD, or just reduce the graphical quality altogether, all of which would be distracting and noticable all the time instead of just at the beginning of a race. It sucks but I think the developers made the right decision given the circumstances![]()
