GT4 or Forza?

i haven't really played gt4, so i can't compare, but i know some people have both and wanted to know which u thought was the real drive of your life?

GT4 is unquestionably more realistic. In Forza there are a good number of turns where it's advantageous to powerslide through. Overall the physics in GT4 just feel more real to me too.

the thing i don't like about gt4 is the in fwd cars, the moment u break, regardless how hard, u'll understeer... (boom01)

that's just because you're driving the car harder in GT4. try hitting your brakes while going around a corner at maximum speed with the tires squealing and you'll realize: 1) GT4 is accurate in modeling this characteristic, 2) fear becomes a factor in real life, unlike in a game :)

Lol, good point

Hmm, I couldn't help but see for myself, so I bought forza and began it with an open mind. I'm not going to write a novel about it, so I'll just say it like this: If I hadn't played GT4 (with the driving force pro) before forza, I wouldn't have returned forza an hour after buying it :)

Keep in mind I'm comparing these games based on the driving experience alone. I think forza beats GT4 in content and online play, but I can't stand it being marketed as a serious simulation knowing it's far from that.

I only had a chance to play GT4 for a few minutes with a modified civic R, the only thing that bothered me was the understeer when braking, other than that it felt more realistic than forza...

but forza is more fun :)

i say gt4, forza has more of a arcade feel to it.. but ihave to give props to forza for havin body upgrades and online play..

one thing i dont get about gt4 though... who in the hell would pay 22k for tires and 90k for a stage 4 urbo kit...

100% agree. Forza reigns supreme in overall experience and online play is an extremely sweet feature. But GT4 is noticably more realistic IMO and also a better value I think simply because I've played Forza for less than 3 hours and I'm already close to 10% done. Both great games though. What's most surprising to me is that GT4's graphics are a good amount better.

how long does it take to finish GT4?

It takes an insanely long time -- I don't know for sure simply because I'm a ton of hours away from finishing it. I'm only 5% done with that game and I've logged quite a few more hours in it than Forza. Surprising you think Forza's graphics are better - I guess it's just personal opinion or maybe I was just expecting Forza's to be much better than they are or something.

I agree too that the price of upgrades in GT4 (and all GTs) has always bugged me -- the upgrade prices have never made any sense at all.

well i've played forza for a good 10-12 hours now and i'm about 28% done in carrere and 17% done in arcade, so i guess GT4 is longer...a lot longer

what i don't like about GT4 is that the computer can drive for u, true that u can do that in forza as well, but in forza the computer has to be trained first...

what gets me is the prices of hte cars are realistic, but the upgrades are outragously off..

Yeah I don't like that feature either. It doesn't bother me much in GT4 though simply because it keeps track of how much you use that "feature" -- so me and buddies are both trying to finish the game without using it at all. I don't know if Forza keeps track of how much you use your "drivetar"...I haven't tried it yet.

drivatar sucks, it will never use WOT and doesn't like to slide that much...

but i do use it on some races that r just too long or annoying (6-8 laps)

on GT4, u have to use it on those 24 hour races, don't u? i know forza has endurence races, but i don't know how long those r yet...

GT4 is more realistic by far.. but that doesnt mean it's better. I dislike GT4's gameplay with a handheld controller, I'm really diggin Forza so far though.
